Well no, he wasn't morally entitled to it . He walked out for starters , plus they were illegal. Who asks for payments to be made after walking out knowing full well they'd come off the teams cap. It's a grubby move whether he was legally entitled to them or not. Linked tightly to Spags if I remember right ?( I could be wrong, it's happend once before )
Hey Carlo, thanks for mentioning that podcast 'Talking Parra' Haynesy as guest appearance, I enjoyed it. Wow shame Smithy didn't get to put that young team together and have them grow and develop as a unit under him. Geez what a talented young bunch they were. Smithy wouldve beaten Penrith to the punch on that one ha! What could've been ...again. Loved that he spoke about how he loved Widders and Kingston game as much as Moi :)
reckon anyone that has their doubts on Haynes ability to mentor and assist young hopefuls should give it a listen based on his input with past nrl coaches as a starter. you know when he mentioned regards Aboriginal kids intuitiveness for the game, it reminded me how he was just about the only player in our side that could work with Sandow well ...no one else seemed to know what he was up to ;)
Liked that he spoke honestly.
wish him all the best, either way, with his Academy.
Because he wanted a million bloody dollars , Mace . Hence why we were never an option. Sure , he may have wished to land back at Parra, but he wasn't willing to do it for less than he could get elsewhere. No differnt to the Dyldo Brown situation. Parra was the comfort zone and their ideal fantasy is to get the most money possible from their most comfortable destination.

Love ya wiz but you go on believing all you want to on this Hayne thing and I'll go believing and remembering his loyalty to the BnG ... he def brought me and others at this forsaken club at the time more joy than the hundreds of players since. And if you think roosters were not chomping at the bit to have him you are mistaken ...everyone knows they goodies thst brings.
million dollars how about a Fckn yes or no we want you??? Having to get club captain to ask on his behalf haha that's desperate and disgusting business. That's prob Mr Sheen doing but the club were happy to have him portrayed as breaking his word and disloyal instead! I don't buy that shit. We were in pathetic times at thst stage. Everyone knew it. Still he did keep his end of bargain up and offered himself to us as he wished.

When you cut out a team cancer you don't offer it a part-time job

Sometimes they're the best kind of people to learn from Wiz. Connecting with people that have made past mistakes are people you can learn from, they can guide you on the pitfalls and give some real examples of what they'd do better, as opposed to just learning from the clinical people that got it right the whole way through.
I hope he goes well and funnels as much talent from out west to the Blue&Gold as he can.
Look don't get me wrong, I'm sure he has his regrets , and yes maybe he can tour the game doing talks . But you don't employ these people in full time roles. You employ Cooper Cronks in full time roles.
It totally peez me off tgat he is never acknowledged anywhere in current nrl highlights or past years either! It's like he never played the game in their eyes but not the fans eyes...what's even worse is that his own club he loves can't find somewhere he can work, with back five as a bloody minimum. He has always read the game twice as well as any coach thst coached him! The games Einstein needs to be involved with our club somewhere. Give Jarryd a go :)
Nah, if he really wants this, if it is not just his latest shiny thing, then he needs to cut his teeth elseware. Too much history and distractions here
