    • When you cut out a team cancer you don't offer it a part-time job

    • Sometimes they're the best kind of people to learn from Wiz. Connecting with people that have made past mistakes are people you can learn from, they can guide you on the pitfalls and give some real examples of what they'd do better, as opposed to just learning from the clinical people that got it right the whole way through.

I hope he goes well and funnels as much talent from out west to the Blue&Gold as he can.

  • It totally peez me off tgat he is never acknowledged anywhere in current nrl highlights or past years either! It's like he never played the game in their eyes but not the fans eyes...what's even worse is that his own club he loves can't find somewhere he can work, with back five as a bloody minimum. He has always read the game twice as well as any coach thst coached him!  The games Einstein needs to be involved with our club somewhere.
    Give Jarryd a go :)

    • Nah, if he really wants this, if it is not just his latest shiny thing, then he needs to cut his teeth elseware. Too much history and distractions here

      • Pretty good history here for us tho! He is struggling I'd say. Maybe as a club we could help one of our greats help us ? That'd be a change

        • He can go pay for some therapy like the rest of us Mace.

          • I'm with you Mace, sack anyone with a handlinger and get Jarryd back.

        • Keep up the good fight Macy, I'm a Jarryd fan. He would make a good coach, and should be involved in Parramatta in some capacity.

          • Yes, especially as a specialist coach, not in charge!

Who would have thought 12 months ago that JAC was a good enough coach, to get our backline defensively right by telling his inside man where to be and what to do. Did Ryles and Jarryd's career at a rep level ever overlap. Most people involved with the Blues Orgin sides would sware by Jarryd's input. After all he single handedly broke the drought!

PS He has no criminal record, but that does not stop the granting of a "Blue Card" (Qld terms). if his accusations involved children he may struggle but it has nothing to do with "children".

  • Does he have the appropriate working with children certification?

"When you change coaches you need to expect some players to chase the money elsewhere because there is no relationship with the new coach. Ryles is now building the squad with the players that fit his style. It's nobody's fault, it's just how it goes."

"Having talent and knowing how to teach that talent to others are completely different skillsets.
A lot of the best coaches weren't very good players, and a lot of brilliant players aren't good coaches."
