Eels Prop forward Issac Jim, 198cm 120kgs and only 19 , is set to make his debut for the Parramatta Nsw cup side in the Semi finals this weekend. The James Fisher Harris look alike is part of a trio of future NRL giants, that will no doubt propel Eels forward stocks moving forward.
Already, 191cm, 117 kg Sam Tuivaiti (20) has shown that he will be a mainstay in our NRL team, and then there's Australian Schoolboys prop Ryda Tualagi, another young giant ony 18, and has already debut against men in Cup.
The future looks very good in the Prop position for the Eels. I think that is the reason Ryles has purchased the experience of Jack Debelin who can take that space for the next year or two and offer these great prospects his knowledge and football nouse, and by then all three will most likely feature in our NRL team.
Also, Davvy Moale for around 350k would be a good pick up aswell. Those in the know have mentioned his athleticism and potential moving forward.
I think if we get Moale, that would wrap up our forward signings for 2026, with another outside back signing most likely, especially if Simmonson leaves.

No they don't Mick. EA had the right of it. Jim was selected on the NSW Cup bench with the intent to play minimal (in this case zero) minutes, because they had to pick 17 players and they didn't want to weaken the Flegg team.
Very late reply but yes predicted right. Fast forward to 2026 and he is no where to be seen in JF.
Jim for be has minimal acceleration, poor lateral movement and struggles with repeat efforts. He may have a future but he can't be relying on his size anymore like he did in SG ball. He doesn't seem to be an athletic bloke to me either.
What about brown and Damascus?
I like Brown. Bit like Jesse Bromwich. He only just came back from injury last week. Mobile, tall and good motor. Think he would have played a lot more cup this year if he didnt get injured on his cup debut.
Damascus runs of the kick like Spencer Leniu. He runs hard. But recently his form has dropped off. His normal hit ups have not been as strong like he is out of puff
How many of these young forwards have mongrel EA.
Do any have the ability to change a games momentum with aggression.
Is there any you see coming through the grades that could debut in first grade and have the moxie to go after the oppositions Alpha dog.
Whats coming through the grades talent wise that intimidates the opposition and owns the middle third.
Do we have a forward on the rise that always wins the pissing contest.
Excellent post Bup.
Ryda loves to take on the opposition alpha. He is only 18 and immediately has gone after everyone in JF and NSW Cup. He has footwork and agile. He always loves to be the player involved in any push and shove as well. However he is still a couple years of FG which is understandable given his age.
When it comes to talent and game changing ability, that is Chris Petrus in the backrow. Just look at his 2 tries in the SG Ball final. Dominating JF already at 18 as well. Polley as well in HM is a try scorer for a lock/backrower.
Popo & Brown have plenty of mongrel to go with their huge motor and footwork through the middle. Both are different body shapes to each other as well.
Lokeni can be your Moretti style forward,. Pure leg speed and mongrel. Hit hard and run hard is what they do.
Thanks EA I'm interested in seeing what young Petrus delivers in the future.
From the little footage I've seen of Ryda I wanted him to stay at the club more then his brother.
Very encouraging he prides himself on being the big dog.
Great to see you Bup, bring a bit of mongrel back to the supporter base.....lol
