Not sure what is going on here, but was asked outright about going to tigers and still beating round the bush and not really answering the question...
Is it as simple as he does actually just want to worry about this year, noting the massive chance they have and then think about tigers when the season is gone. Or, is he still a hope of staying at the eels? I read somewhere tigers said they are not letting it go and if he doesnt want to play for the tigers he will sit out 3 years. Easy money...surely tigers would not be prepared to chew up that much cap space for a player warming the pine.
Is it a case where there is smoke there is fire? I know this topic has been done to death, but his presser yesterday doesnt help his cause! Surely he can say, my focus is this year with the eels and ill think about tigers next year, its all sorted then, woudl stop all this media attention too. Surely a distraction for him coming into the business end?

Yes this topic has been done to death.
Next year he will be a Tiger at the bottom of the table.
He chased the coin and now will have to live with no finals footy.
End of story.
I agree, but why not just come out and say ill be at the tigers next year (like api has done)?! I just dont get the logic unless he is trying to stay?
Everything is negotiable. The last thing the Tigers want or need is a player who doesn't want to be there.
Maybe a player(s) swap is in the works. Give them Nathan Brown, Cartwright and Makatoa. Oh hell, throw in Jake Arthur as well !! Haha
He is probably still haunted by being called a p###y by Spencer Leniu last week 😂😂
Its good signs for us. Can't see it panning out well either way though. If we keep him, we'll have to lose someone else in exchange. N Brown seems the likely candidate, but will the Tigers cop that?
I'd have N Brown in my top 17, if not our starting 13.
At least he brings some aggression and direction to the other 16 players.
To be honest he has been quite poor last few games. He owes us 3 great ones and then he should go of and honour his contract. This is beyond ridiculous. You signed you leave ICE.
He clearly doesn't want to go there, who can blame him. Thus is one of those situations where all parties concerned will negotiate something that gets the player what he wants while the Tigers get enough to save face
Only if the Tigers want what we are offering Brett. There is every chance he has to go to the tigers.
