Is Jarome Luai worth going after?

Greetings all! I'm new to this site and this is my 1st post. Love him or hate him, Jarome Luai's combination with Mitch Moses for NSW was electric. Imagine those two being our halves combination.

  • I highly doubt he leaves Tigers. After all, he left because he no longer wanted to be in Cleary's shadow and wanted to be the main man.

In a world he does leave tigers, I could see a team like the Dragons giving him a blank check.

    • I could see him going elsewhere, I think it is dependent on Benji to be fair.

    • So Joeyboyz says imagine him here...and you imagine him at StGeorge....You suck

      • Randy, are you still having a cry mate? Grow up, AI can't hurt you... yet

        • If you were any more bland you'd be beige wallpaper.

          • Just one correction Eels 2025, he never left Penrith to be the main man.

He left for the money. There was /has never been issue with his relationship with Cleary.

Now Eels 2025 I am interested where you got that information from, do you intuitively follow the game or do you use the journalistic sources that exist in the business that are notorious for making shit up?

            • No because luais manager is Issac Moses.

            • I never said there was an issue between him and Cleary. However, it was clear that as long as he was playing alongside Cleary he would not be the main man, and paid accordingly.

With being the main man, comes a larger pay packet. Hence, why I think he left. While I think your correct about pay being the motivation, he would of only achieved this pay packey if he was being the main man.

              • Being the main man and being paid as the main man are two different things. Do you think that Laui has achieved that status? His body language and performances would indicate that he is "really not that interested in being the main man". Now that is subjective but intutitively I reckon I am right.

I think he played with an effort and enthusiam both in the second and third games for NSW that I haven't seen at the Tigers....albeit those efforts are in a losing team, which i am sure he has become equally used to at Tigers.....maybe he just wants to be the main man in a losing side? I donk think so just the same, and yes I happen to think he is a very good player, I even understand why Wests  have paid overs (they definately want a main man). He and Dyllan Brown are on similar parrallels,  Luai is worth no more than Dyllan and they are both paid overs to "buggery".

            • Poppa, you are wrong. Luai explicitly said (after noting $$$ for the family) he wanted to get the keys to the team. Yes, it was not a bad relationship with Cleary, but that is not what Eels2025 claimed. Eels2025 said Luai wanted to be the main man and out of Cleary's shadow. And that is correct, Luai calling it "getting the keys to the team".

So why would Luai come to the Eels where Moses has the keys to the team and absolutely nobody is suggesting that would change, regardless of whether the 5/8 is Luai or someone else?

"The chances of him being our 6 next year are very low, if he was a serious consideration he would be playing 6 now with dylan at centre. I'll be very surprised if he is our starting 6 next season unless he gets a lot more time there this season. "

"I think Joash is a good player, but from what I've seen only at fullback or on the wing. Those positions we've got pretty well covered, so I guess he's a great back up option. I'd like to see him in 1st grade, but I dont know how he fits in?"
