Is Jarome Luai worth going after?

Greetings all! I'm new to this site and this is my 1st post. Love him or hate him, Jarome Luai's combination with Mitch Moses for NSW was electric. Imagine those two being our halves combination.

  • Not a bad Idea.  But the bucks to get him to Parra still be about what tigers are offering 1.5 is a whack on the salary cap...could cook our cap distribution but have a lower amount crack we have the money very unlikely but who knows ...

  • He's the best 5/8 in the game but will come at a hearty price, can't see it happening anyway

  • Something tells me you know something about this.

    • no mate, just an idea

  • Welcome to the madhouse, Joeyboyz.

I agree, Luai is worth going after as a long-term solution, notwithstanding the issues already raised by others (dosh, incentives, Kingdom Keys, losing face etc).

The re-build culture Ryles and the club is driving —  The Kaizen Way — could appeal to him.

Probably a long shot, but it's a strange game.

PS: Dogs will no doubt find a way to squeeze him in between Burton and Galvin.

    • I can't see Dogs trying to put Luai anywhere near Galvin. That would be insane after an obvious falling out. That's before we get ot the insanity of trying to squeeze 3 into 2, or three 5/8's into a 7 and 6.

Luai would only work at the Eels if he said "I don't need the keys to the team"

    • G'day mate. I reckon he'd fit right in with what Ryles is building.

  • No way is he coming to us. There's far too many whiteys for him to get rid of at Parramatta.

    • He seems pretty good at it

"The chances of him being our 6 next year are very low, if he was a serious consideration he would be playing 6 now with dylan at centre. I'll be very surprised if he is our starting 6 next season unless he gets a lot more time there this season. "
