The Titans confirmed the move on Saturday afternoon, announcing it has signed Cartwright on a four-year deal which will see him on the Glitter Strip until the end of the 2021 season.
Cartwright’s move is effective immediate and he will arrive at the Titans for his first day of training this week.
Former Panthers assistant coach and Titans coach Garth Brennan said he always had an interest in poaching Cartwright.
“I’ve known Bryce since he was 17 and I’m so pleased that we can work together again,” Brennan said.
“I’ve seen him develop over the past seven years and I believe he is one of the most skilful players I’ve seen on a football field.

“He is a massive signing for the club and look forward to seeing him in Titans colours.”
Panthers supremo Phil Gould also released a statement announcing the club is interested in re-signing Cartwright in the future.
“It’s obviously disappointing to be releasing a player like Bryce Cartwright, however, we appreciate his desire to seek such a change,” Gould said.
“We hope that this move proves successful for Bryce, both on and off the field.
“Hopefully some time in the future he finds his way back to Panthers.
“We wish Bryce and his young family all the very best.”
The Daily Telegraph reported the Titans are using the money left over from the salary cap space created by Jarryd Hayne’s move to the Titans to secure Cartwright’s long-term deal.
It comes just three months after fellow Panthers star junior Matt Moylan was released by the club to join Cronulla, also part-way through a contract that expired in 2021.
Cartwright played 69 games for Penrith since making his debut in 2014, scoring 12 tries.

So much about Garth Brennan not signing any panther players. Lol
Now I'm of the understanding that a club cannot contact a player or agent to entice him to join them until there is 1 year left on their contract. Brennan is quoted as saying he contacted Latu well prior to him being tapped on the shoulder and that's why he went to Titans. Wonder if Cartwright's situation is the same?
"Phone calls are harder as you can't prove what was said unless it was tapped. Emails and the rest yeah. Parra had this in their back pocket for a while and were waiting for the final nail to drop and them threatening us with cap penalties was the…"
"I am not saying we shouldn't try, just if we lose and it is a possibility even if slight, that's more likely what happens. If that does happen then it is us against the NRL mentality to fuel us."

Wonder if we would have got Latu if Brennan had not gone to Titans

Am I completely wrong with this?
If not then why are the Titans not penalised?
He had his off field troubles.
Gee the Panthers have let some talent walkover the past few years.
Hook and Gus will be strapping on the boots soon enough.
how come we didnt make a play for him
Money, and Panthers probably wouldn’t have let him come due to rivalry, as well as, he could’ve easily just not wanted to play for us.
