Howarth to Parramatta

Getting some messages that the Parramatta Eels have apparently signed Queensland u19s representative Frank Howarth.

Younger brother of Jack Howarth and shows a lot of promise. Big bodied second rower who is certainly going to be an Nrl player in the future.

Could this mean both the Howarth boys are coming to Parra?

Also a 1ee member mentioned it a week ago. Trent from the cupboard house of il repute.

  • Well we know what this means  - Jack is a certainty to be in Parramatta colours.

Frank is also a jnr kangaroo

    • He's a big lad

  • I like it! We can't have enough good players at the club and if we can't buy established stars then we need to target future stars.

Big kid.  Fittler is around 185cm.  This guy has to be 194 +

  •  Could be our david fifita

    • Hope he's better than him, that guy has never quite measured up to what his physical talent suggested.

  • Does that mean Jack is the centre we will be signing? Rules out Best? Bostock still on the cards? Heaps of questions on this if true.

    • Cant see Bostock being let go at the Dolphins. Depends if Herbie stays or becomes a Rooster. Bostock could be almost anything.

  • This is exactly what we should be doing. If we see gaps developing in lower grades then fill them before the problem flows up to NRL. It's basic succession planning.

  • I reckon a lot of those messages came from people who listened to Bloke in a Bar season review where Guru said we signed Frank. Mind you, same people said Samrani was a back-rower who turned in to a Centre. So shows their knowledge in some areas with our club.
