"Or should it be the other way around, Tad? Can't win a game if you start off way behind the 8-ball? Like Dragons game? Must win first 20? Build that to first half? Be in it with 20 to go? etc?"
"If the Eels concede 40+ for 8x games but win 6-0 last 10 mins of each game, nope, I reckon that won't generate 'but right path'! I'm inclined to think honourable losses might generate 'right path' but blowout losses, or absolutely never in the game,…"
"NOS, I caught the Ryles press conference from this morn or yesterday, and he basically said Brown is either 18th man or not playing. So, no reserves purgatory for Dylan, I suspect a PR thing for Dyldoheads ongoing career? BUt Ryles also ruled out…"

Cameron Bruest - Haven't seen a lot of him, but from all reports, he has the potential and ability to become a top halfback, but he hasn't seen a lot of NYC action, so it remains to be seen if he can deal with the pressure.
Marmin Barba - Brother of Bulldogs utility Ben Barba. Again, I haven't seen a lot of him, but reports say that he is better than his brother, and he has a good attacking arsenal, and can play a few positions much like his brother.
Jacob Loko - Perhaps our brightest young talent, for the back-line at least. Beast of a player who can play centre, wing & second-row. Has a big fend, can break tackles, and has good speed. One to look out for in 2011.
Ken Sio - Predominantly a winger, another one to look out for, but I haven't seen too much of him, so perhaps someone else can comment on him.
Patrick O'Hanlon - I think he's the best talent coming out of our club. He's a QLD'er, but he is built like a machine, and is Hindmarsh-esque in his defensive prowess, but he has the ability to pile on the metres much like a prop does, so he has a good mix between the defensive and attacking sides.
Rory Brien - Initially a centre, he was moved to second-row/lock and got progressively better over the course of the year last year in NYC. Finished the season with an average of about 40 tackles, and 120 metres made, so he too has both the attacking and defensive side of things covered. Very similar to O'Hanlon.
Mitchell Allgood - Prop who currently plays for Wenty, and a good kid to have coming through the ranks. One to look out for next year too, if not a few years down the track.
That's all I can think of in regard to the players close to cracking first-grade, but I'm sure others will tell you of more.
That's just the guys I know of that I think will be in the mix for a first-grade spot.
I think SK will probably start with Robson and Morts. Remember, in 2009 they were on fire and cannot be solely blamed for our capitulation in 2010. That being said, I really rate Tom Humble and it wouldn't surprise me if he pushes for a place in the halves. I note how Morts was criticised for too much defence. If protection in defence is afforded, I think Luke Burt would make a good 5/8 but if he is left out on a limb he could be a turnstile. Maguire and Maitua are versatile and if we are going no good maybe Murray might get a crack. Bruest is still too young. I saw Marmin Barba in the Aboriginal tournament in Moree (I think). He is very fleet footed, a bit like Preston Campbell, but didn't see much of his ball skills. He too, is of very slight build.
We have the cattle, we just need the farmer. Go back to our good years from 2001 onwards and our teams are quite similar. One or two stars and a lot of people doing their job well. Our problem last year we did not have a lot of people doing their job well.
Pressure is right on SK
That's what they told me as I happen to know both of them.
