Hard to feel sorry for the bloke when he goes on national tv a few weeks ago denies any interest in a player then signs him a few short weeks later. Media and fans are absolutely crushing his credibility and it's just a bad look for the game when a player takes 500k less to join the club that Gus is the head of. Pressure will firmly be on the bulldogs this season as anything less then a title will lead to a backlash

Non of that surprises me Wiz
Somehow we're the only dopes that get caught.
We as a club really need an experienced and successful administrator (Fletcher or Ponissi) that knows how to play the game and seem above suspicion from the NRL
The factionalism contributed to how we are setup now.
McElduff only left because his 9 yrs being on the board was up.
MoN is he a protected species like Jim and Sean.I don't know but it certainly feels like these board members won't be forced out and are in no rush to move MoN on.
Board members are held to the 9 year rule. Employees (MON etc) have no such limits.
I asked at the start of the year when Matt Beach became Chairman, would he stamp his authority and make changes needed or would he sit quietly and enjoy the status quo? I think my question has been well and truly answered.
Damn then he's a protected spieces then.
The board members are though they got each other's backs. Why would they go anywhere even if we aren't winning. There's no penalty for team failure outside of a head coach who doesn't win.
They run their time out and then ensure their successor is a puppet. It's all just another version of what we had prior. These guys just have their heads so far uo their arses with righteousness they think they're not doing the same thing as the old guard.
No matter how shit they perform , there will always be their mates cheering them to be reflected or someone they approve of being elected to serve their own interests . I'm yet to see the day one of these flops stands down due to them thinking it's best for the club , or endorsing an opposing person due to the opposition having bet eye credentials.
As I've asked before , what's Phil achieved other then being a decent bloke ? A paid social media platform for members to see the players train ? Actualy very curious and not being a smart arse. People were endorsing him and had streamers falling from the sky when he got re-elected . But on what grounds ? Phil's a decent human so I'll assume he's been busting his arse , but where's the examples as to why it was great news ? I'm not asking anyone specifically, just throwing it out as a general question as it relates to Coryns topic on the board.
The silence is deafening Wiz......
If your a fan and a paying one at that all you'd like to see is board members coaches preach accountability if the team isn't successful then the question must be asked.
Much like recruitment and retention do we have a process that works do we have enough ammo to get these targets across the line.
IMO your always trying to streamline your process efficiency is king.We need to change the narrative around playing and coming to Parra. At the moment we are a second class citizen out west new facilities be damned.
GF to bottom 2-3 in 2 years but you hear nothing from the top as to how or why this happend.Share the information fans can handle honesty but what they can't handle or dislike is lack of transparency of a clearly flawed process.
I watch Parra and I just don't think they no how to get this premiership monkey off there back and success will never be quantified by winning a premiership.IMO we just don't have the roadmap to get there or the right people in place to get us there.
I mean who'd have thought a homemade meal at the ex coaches house gets Lomax over the line I'm like please is it really that simple.Gus gets Mahoney over the line at a Chinese restaurant I mean there's a common denominator here 😂
We fluked Lomax, if it wasn't for Arthur he wouldn't be here . If he knew Arthur was going to be sacked , he also wouldn't be here . It is very worrying that the coach had to sneak around the clubs backs to land a player. He also did the same with Connor Tracey although he made sure he'd learnt from the Tracey chapter and went straight above MON to the boss and got the bosses on board before he told MON. With Tracey he told MON first and MON ensured he fucked the deal up. MON didn't want the coach to be showing him up by recruiting players. Seriously , MON will sign Dylan Brown for 20 years , but he wouldn't give Tracey a 3 year deal ? It was purely spite because Arthur did the deal.
If a coach is sneaking around landing players then what the fuck is our R&R team doing ? The same R&R team that signed Gutherson , Brown , Sivo , Matto , RCG and no doubt more I've forgotten, to contracts that needed or we wanted to amend or break. It's ridiculous these clowns are still here.
A you say , it ain't hard to make it a bit personal and go out and share a meal and get it done. It seems that our guys are just sitting in their office emailing offers to managers . Even Hindy said he's son only reveuved an email from our club offering his kid a spot , whereas Penrith made an effort.
I've never seen a picture of MON out with a perspective signing , maybe they're scared to meet him incase he gets his cock out.
Well it's not working. There's still factions now , they're just more vanilla then before with less clout. The only reason the factionalism was so prominent in the past was the guys running them had a little bit of clout to get shit broadcast. Now these pelicans are just dialuted versions and their factions consist of toilet block lurkers looking for gossip.
If Fitzy was a younger man , he'd have these current fanboys in charge questioning everything from their wife's loyalty to whether or not their parents adopted them. We need to punt these clowns that are living out their childhood fantasies of having accesss to Eels players , and get some decent honchos in , starting with the blokes scouting and recruiting our talent.
Sounds fishy that both Galvin and his manager would be happy losing out on so much cash. Is Dogs really that much of a better prospect.
Benji is a good half and he could have always ask they get in an old elite half to give him some extra work. There would probably have been clubs as good as Dogs for development that would have paid more than 750k. sounds like we were offereing 900k by the end.
Just don't buy it that he and his manager did not get extras
