Gould to the Cowboys.

Posted by Michael the ParraFan on October 25, 2010 at 7:01pm

its been rumoured for sometime no, but is seems that Phil 'Gus' Gould will be taking on an advisory role with the Cowgirls. On his show Mad Monday, Gould revealed he was asked by the Townsville board to conduct an end of season review of the club, and at one stage, it even seemed he might become coach. Now that it is clear he will be working as an 'advisor', how good do u think he will be at club level (did well for NSW), and do you think he will ever become first-team coach?

Gould IS a consultant with the Cowboys and has already done work with Neil Henry and had discussions with the board and football club hierachy.
He has already made some reccommendations and will be heading back up to Townsville for the start of their training on Novemebr 8th.
JT is still scheduled for his meeting with the board etc on November 5th.

No "official" word on what Gould has said to anyone at this time.

Townsville Bulletin carried story on Wed Oct 20th.
Sorry gus - do not know how to link story.

"The writing is on the wall and others have said he has had his 'chances'. I also find it interesting that he is so well liked by many and does a lot for kids etc. this in itself is a bad look besides the fact Ryles gave him a chance following C'bury."
