Gould to the Cowboys.

its been rumoured for sometime no, but is seems that Phil 'Gus' Gould will be taking on an advisory role with the Cowgirls. On his show Mad Monday, Gould revealed he was asked by the Townsville board to conduct an end of season review of the club, and at one stage, it even seemed he might become coach. Now that it is clear he will be working as an 'advisor', how good do u think he will be at club level (did well for NSW), and do you think he will ever become first-team coach?

  • Also, do you think Thurston would like this move? I forgot I have to link the story back to JT and the eels signing him
  • bump. lol.
  • But my sauce told me we're signing Gould as halfback..
  • Gould IS a consultant with the Cowboys and has already done work with Neil Henry and had discussions with the board and football club hierachy.
He has already made some reccommendations and will be heading back up to Townsville for the start of their training on Novemebr 8th.
JT is still scheduled for his meeting with the board etc on November 5th.

No "official" word on what Gould has said to anyone at this time.

Townsville Bulletin carried story on Wed Oct 20th.
Sorry gus - do not know how to link story.
