He could have stayed at Tigers and learnt from one of the best. Let's hope the kid isnt too arrogant to want to learn and improve aka D.Brown. His pass selection, timing and service was awful.
At the same time he would have been in Cup too, he had been learning from Api for a while.
Tallyn said he was happy to stay if they gave him a path to FG post Api and Rico said go pretty much. Ryles wanted him and just thought get him now so we have him and work extra on him in off-season.
Anyone remember Iongi being called to go back to Cup and learn or go to the wing at the start of the year? Same Kautoga. Those two are key players now. Da Silva tried too hard tonight, it seemed he tried to out do Smith who has mastered the simplicity of the position. He isn't flashy or has much x-factor but does the simple parts good. That's what is great about Smith. Just not a lot of mistakes. He had a few odd decisions mid year like kicking on 3rd on opposition own line or a pass here or there but learned.
Smith has played 8 less games than Da Silva but the amount of minutes from starting I reckon Smith trumps Da Silva by about 3-4 games. Let's give Da Silva the pre-season, he tried too hard but at least trying. Ryles has a plan. If by this time next year he is still doing this then yeah ridiculous
"Iam thinking TDS is about 150k a year in front of Ryley.
TDS seems to struggle to pass ball from ground without taking a step. He certainly can't throw the long ball from the ground."
"Could not believe how many settlers we had in their red zone today. Barely any shifts or offloads in attack. Thought even when we made half breaks that Moses would not even touch the ball the rest of the set. Really want to see Moses touch the ball…"
