Game day blog - Storm vs Eels

So, who's ready to be embarressed? It wouldn't be the first time for us Eels fans.

Anything could happen in this game. Will the Eels show up? Will Storm put 50+ on them? One thing is certain, Moses and Brown will need to be heavily involved with a perfect kicking game to have any chance. Not unlike the last time we played them where Moses single handedly won us the game.

Regardless of the result, I'm looking forward to seeing how the boys go against the pinnacle and one of the best teams we've ever seen.

I hope Cartwright gets more game time because it's players like him who could make the difference. I'm also hoping Hipgrave gets a fair run.

Being a fortnight from the first final, the boys should be leading into the finals returning to form and gaining some much needed confidence. They win here, they'll get confidence back in spades. That's a massive task against this Storm team.

So, who will win and by what margin?

MOM?

    MOM Cheese.

  • Storm by min of 50

  • Nothing the Eels have done in the last month or so leaves us with any confidence whatsoever. And this game will be no different.

The rot has set in now and we just have to grin and bear as the Storm bends us over with no lube.

I love the Eels and have for over 40 years but I hate the fact that the powers that be can't get their shit together to make club more successful. It seems to me year in year out all that ever happens is that people are asking what the 'club can do for them' instead of what they can do for the club.

    Get ready for a 60 - 4 result. I hope I'm wrong!

  • I give us no chance so we should get up. I want us to make a statement that we are going to play a part in the finals and I would love Dylan Brown to put his hand up and start to justify his reputation, potential and pay packet

    Storm by 16

  • Storm by 30.Our defence out wide has been a problem for 3years and has not been rectified.Bellamy will instruct his players to aim there attack out wide and like Manly and South's did they will have a field day.We have only got three more games this year and they will be all losses.I'm sick and tired of our poor performances at the business end of the year apparently what you hear the coach and assistant coaches will be at Parra next year if this is the case I will not be going to another Parra game again after being a member and ticket holder for over 50 years

    • Don't give up Greg

Remember Cowboys 2017. They were lucky to even make the 8 and made a grand final without JT. I know we need a lot to go our way but we might Bradbury it

      • Would you want a Bradbury comp though Jason? I know I wouldn't. They are not playing well enough to be in the 8, let alone a GF

        • We almost did in 2009 and I would have LOVED IT

    • I will not be renewing for 2023 if the 3 stooges are still there. I have been following the eels since the early 70's and have been a member since 1986 with 2 memberships. The place is a shambles

  • Storm by 30 or Eels by 2. Depends upon whether some deity decides to play a prank on the world (latter outcome). MOM Dylan Brown for breaking his record of try assists (he gets 1) or Papenhousefastwhatever for 6 actual tries

"You are absolutely kidding if you let RCG go. Just wow, what have you been watching for the last three years. He had one poor game last week and has been one of the driving forces in our pack . He has been a standout! "
