Well, the finals are here and it sees the Eels face off against a team which put over 90 points on us last year, the Storm.
Who could forget giving the Broncos a touch up last year by almost 60 points in the first final, only to be beaten by the Storm 32-0 the following week.
The Storm are close to full strength with a player suspended, a far cry from when these team's met a few weeks ago with the Eels winning 14-0. That was a Cameronless Storm side. The Eels are basically at full strength with Dylan Brown returning and will no doubt lift our attack a notch.
For me, for the Eels to win this game, we need to throw the footy around and maintain our line speed from the start otherwise the ref will take us out of the game.
BA must out coach Bellamy for the Eels to succeed. That's obviously no easy task. I'm really not looking forward to seeing the ref give the Storm 16 set restarts to the Eels 4. You just know that this may happen.
Im hoping that the Eels at least put in a good showing and not like when we played the rabbits...which also may happen.
So, who will win and by what margin?
MOM?
GO YOU EELS!!!

Eels for an upset by 7
Eels by 4. Need to watch Mel spinning the ball out wide early .
Yep.
They are going to hammer our fringes right from the get go.
The way we have been playing the last couple of months coupled with our history versus Melbourne it is hard to see anything but a landslide victory to the storm, alas this is finals though and this year there is a feeling there will be at least one upset in the first round of finals. With the panthers getting the job done and Sharks really no hope it leaves us and the knights out of the two to cause a surprise, here is to hoping. I think Melbourne will be just to clinical in the moments that matter but closer then last year, if we are any chance junior and RCG must find that early year form with Gutho chiming in off the back of that. I am expecting a huge game from Matto. Storm by 2 MOM Papa
Fast track at Suncorp, plenty of points. Might unsettle Storm.
Eels by 2
Need to put a couple of tries on them early.
My heart says the Eels but my head is going with the Storm by 10.
A late Moses field goal is the difference. Dreams are free. I’ll be there watching them tonight.
I posted this in another blog - History is in the PAST!
Last night the Lions took on Geelong in their finals match.
HISTORY showed us the Lions have NOT beaten Geelong in 11 years - history showed us Geelong have NOT lost a match at the Gabba in their last 16 games there - History got it up the clacker like stuffing a chook lasy night because the Lions forgot to "follow" history and thumped Geelong.
I am not expecting a win, but my hopes are as high as Sam Burgess on a rampage.
We have kept winning this year to be where we are - how I do not know, but winning is becoming familiar to the team and hopefully it will continue today.
GO HARD LADS, TAKE NO PPRISONERS AND LEAVE NOTHING ON THE PADDOCK.
Eels win a tight one by 2.
Smith gives the penalty away for us to win.
