Well Coryn, how can you have 2-3 players lined up in same spot to go after? You go for one and by the time that decision is done, Plan B is elsewhere but you wanted Plan A. I don't blame the club for that. If Smith signed say 2 months later at NQ then you can argue that but these signings happening back to back on same day shows we had to pick one or the other.
I will say the fact we have money, straight up 6 spot available, new state of the art COE and your manager's client as the captain and couldn't get it done is a little concerning. The fact he chose the dogs over the eels proves he wasn't the right fit for us. I'm not going to pretend I didn't want him or that he isn't going to be a super talent but didn't want him if it was because we offered the most money and not because he wanted to be here.
