EELS
1. Clint Gutherson 8.5
Huge game from the Eels skipper, who was his usual supportive best in attack, coming up with two try-assists, three tacklebreaks and two line breaks.
2. Maika Sivo 8.5
Unstoppable. Matt Gillett and Kotoni Staggs did their best to stop him with no luck. Too strong, too fast, too gifted, two tries.
3. Michael Jennings 7
Showed incredible skill in the air to score the first try of the afternoon. Did miss five tackles though, which is poor considering the lack of defending the Eels had to do.
4. Waqa Blake 7.5
Rocked Anthony Milford with a solid tackle in the first half and showed up with strong defence for the rest of the game.
5. Blake Ferguson 8
Once again a star on an edge, giving the Eels a huge advantage in their start to sets. Scored a try, three line-breaks and was constantly busy.
6. Dylan Brown 9
Showed experience beyond his years to maintain composure in his first finals game. Came up with two try assists, two tries and a line-break assist to make it look easy.
7. Mitchell Moses 9.5
Had the ball on a string in the first half, ripping a banana kick for Mitchell Jennings’ first try, and then chipping through to score himself. Scored again late in the game to cap off one of his finest performances in the NRL.
15. Daniel Alvaro 8
In 23 minutes he had racked up 95 metres to set a brilliant platform for the first-half dominance. Pitched in more in his second stint to finish off with the most metres of any forward on the field.
9. Reed Mahoney 9
Exceptional around the ruck and his passing game was first class.
10. Junior Paulo 8
Had a terrific first 30 minutes where he clocked up 106 metres, five tacklebreaks and four offloads. Was subbed off and didn’t need to go back on after that.
11. Shaun Lane 8
Was at his running best and was hard to handle up front. Scored a try which was a nice reward for a big game.
12. Manu Ma’u 8
At his bruising best. Finished with 20 tackles without missing one, and clocked up 118 metres and three tacklebreaks. Also kicked the final conversion for a nice moment.
13. Nathan Brown 6
Not his best night, but he wasn’t put under much pressure either. Finished with 10 runs for 88 metres from 53 minutes.
14. Brad Takairangi 5
Provided a point of difference from the bench.
16. Ray Stone 5 Had seven runs for 67 metres but wasn’t on for long enough to make a big impact.
17. Marata Niukore
Had a huge impact from the bench and clocked up 11 runs for 100 metres as well as 17 tackles.
18. Tepai Moeroa 7
The departing forward was included in the team after Kane Evans was rubbed out, but made the most of his opportunity with 149 metres, a try and four tacklebreaks.
BRONCOS
1 Anthony Milford 3
Caught on the fifth tackle in his side’s half and hammered by Blake Ferguson and Waqa Blake in the opening 10 minutes. From thereon in it didn’t look like he wanted to be there.
2 Corey Oates 4
Hardly got the ball in his hands — due to the Broncos’ inability to create — and when he did he was trucking it up out of his own half.
3 Kotoni Staggs 3
Some nice runs out of his own end, but he had no answer to the threat of Jennings and Sivo who toyed with him all afternoon.
4 Alex Glenn 4
Some useful cover tackles but he was barely noticeable.
5 Jamayne Isaako 3
The reigning rookie of the year went up against a strong candidate for this year’s award, and as incumbent, Isaako was completely blown away by Sivo.
6 Darius Boyd 2
Meek defending yet again, especially for Ferguson’s early break which led to Jennings’ try. Gave up the chase to dive on a Moses grubber in the first half, too. In the first hour of the game the five-eighth, didn’t kick once.
7 Jake Turpin 2
He is not a halfback, he is a hooker and it showed by the distinct lack of creativity coming from the Broncos. The sooner Anthony Seibold solves the nonsensical spine combinations this side will go nowhere.
8 Matt Lodge 4
Gave away a stupid penalty in the opening stages and was more interested with picking scuffles than doing the hard yards.
9 Andrew McCullough 4
Unambitious, unimaginative play out of dummy half. Parramatta made life hard for him all day, tiring him out down the middle.
10 Payne Haas 6
Great covering tackle and the only Broncos forward to really front up. He ran and ran and ran, but in the end — as has so often been the case this year — he was one of the few Brisbane players to show any heart.
11 David Fifita 6
Like Haas he was one of the Broncos better performers, and kept turning up. But others around him didn’t help his cause.
12 Matt Gillett 4
Clobbered by Nathan Brown early on before Sivo smashed him in the second half. Never got going and made a handful of errors.
13 Joe Ofahengaue 3
Daft late hit on Moses in the first half, and was then put on report for a low act when he smashed Ferguson’s face for which he should’ve spent time in the bin.
14 James Segeyaro 4
Came on far too late to affect any real change in the Broncos’ fortunes.
15 Thomas Flegler 4
Was rocked by Nathan Brown in the opening half. Ineffective with ball in hand.
16 Gehamat Shibasaki 5
Backed up on one nice break late on, but was only brought onto the field in the dying stages.
17 Patrick Carrigan 4
Failed to offer any impact off the bench and was rattled a few times while carrying the ball.

Sounds about right. However 2 for darius is a bit over the top. Should of got zero for doing zero.
Darius turning his back for our 2nd try for Fergo's try was hilarious. I didn't see which Bronco turned his back but I would have had him down as the man all day long. The guy doesn't want to get hurt. Play out your contract Darius!!!
100% agree. Same with Taka’s. Thought he injected himself well in the game and added some real flare around the ruck
Dylan brown has a meeting at the judiciary on fox sports but a early plea he will only get 1 week
That is a deadset joke
If that’s true the Eels as a club need to make a lot of noise about this. If that tackle is worthy of a week on the sideline you would have to suspend 20 blokes a week for similar.Honestly what’s going on at most surely it would be a 75 point charge what the hell have they given it?
This has to be a joke, he didn't even drop down.
If this is the case the MRC seem to have a hard on for the Eels they grade us very harshly.
How would that be above 75 base points is beyond me and the club first needs to complain through the right channels about the harshness of the charge and if you can’t get a result take it up through the media.
Evans misses a final after first contact on the shoulder now this the games lost the plot.
Its a gee up. But shawn must have massive problems
Poppa he was put on report, absolute fucking joke, the kid has been sensational the last 2 weeks, he is going to be s special one this kid.
