    • Every game is a must win! Can't see Eels beating Titans they're a different team under Holbrook

      • I agree that every game is but some more than others. But yeah Titans were a different team under Holbrook.....in 2023. He was then sacked and Des got the job the following year. Hannay is now the coach and they are 1-4, scraping a win at home v Saints. Not saying that means they are easy beats, we still need to be on.

But if you are to counter, get your information straight before hand to save the hassel of embarrassment.

        • I'm not embarrassed are you? Simple error! Everyone makes them unless your Penrith of course. Hannay I meant not Holbrook who is doing a super job at Newcastle

          • Yes, Holbrook is doing a great job for Newcastle. People do make mistakes but you made two mistakes. Thinking Gold Coast was Newcastle and that Holbrook was their coach.

Why would i be embarrassed? I didn't say it confidently.

            • So you've never made more than 2 mistakes 😂 Youd be better off supporting Penrith as they apparently never make mistakes either according to the referees and according to yourself

              • Oh no i make mistakes, i admit when i do. But nothing like that where i said an old coach is coaching a team that is doing well, when that coach is gone and the team is 1-4. That is simply keeping up with the game.

Making a mistake with saying like saying a player signed in 2022 when they signed in 2020 or they were an Eels junior when in fact they were a Cronulla junior. Things like that happen. But that was just keeping up with the game. But you correct yourself and realised.

Did you not see my penalty stats? They make mistakes.

Going down the path of "Go follow them then" type response is ridiculous. I am a Parramatta supporter but also an NRL fan and can see the game outside of Parramatta. You have to admit how good Penrith are and that's the way it goes. They make mistakes but they are able to defend their way out of mistakes, not all the time as they let some points in but majority of the time they back their defence.

    • No good scrapping into the 8 to be rolled out week 1 what's the point? Eels won't make the 8

      • Well having some finals experience is better than none. Sometimes it is better getting a feel then use that for the next year.

        • Like with Brad Arthur after 10 years.

          • Arthur got to a GF. Not many coaches can claim that. We made the semi's in year 4 under Arthur, would have made it in year 3 if not for the cap scandal.

Finishing the year as best you can helps your squad and morale in the building. Finishing this year in the 8 would mean finishing strong.

"Making a GF is a massive feat. Not many remember the runners up, but it is a feat getting a team to a GF. "
