Yeah NFL do it great. Ive been to two games. Both in Tampa, as i support them. in 2016 and 2017 was still at uni,
Tampa v Carolina
Tampa v Atlanta.
Seeing both a day time and night game was an experience both times. Was also there when they inducted Jon Gruden in the ring of honor. Great experience.
Sensational, LB. Would've been great at Tampa I bet.
Yeah agree, the Melbourne game looked promising, but the price is crazy.
Well I did New Year's Eve in New York, -15c.
Got on a plane to Tampa, straight to the stadium, 26c degrees.
Beautiful weather. When I bought beers, the people there couldn't believe i was from Australia and said this weather must feel like home
I went to a night time game and the weather was like spring here. Light cool breeze but still warm. Just beautiful place to be.
No, I'm going to see my 9ers v rams in Melbourne but would love to go to a game in the states. A work buddy went to Dallas last year (cowboys fan) and seen the cowboys v giants i think it was, high scoring game that went to overtime, said it was sensational except $30 a beer.
NOS, was that $30 for an entire jug?
If you ever get the chance, go to an NFL game. My wife said to me "Let's go to Melbourne for Rams v 49ers" i am like yeah nah, too expensive and since i have been to two games in USA, i am good. No need for me to spend that price.
But if you go, go to teams where their fan base isn't that high and they are average as a team. So Tampa, Jacksonville are two good places and are in Florida since it is warm pretty much all year round.
49ers baby, don't care where. I'm going to the Melbourne game.
Yeah try and catch them at Levi Stadium, or an away game elsewhere.
Places like Dallas, New York, LA etc cost you an arm and a leg.
The first time in years we aren't playing Melbourne in round 1. It is almost like the NRL know Melbourne vs Parra in round 1 is a miss match and won't deliver a good game for an event like Vegas.
If that is the case why has the NRL kept giving Parra Melbourne first up the last few years considering the lopsided results and pathetic games they dish up.
Because the NRL don't care about Parra. They only care that their fans keep coming back for more punishment, which we invariably do. Melboure fans however must see their team be successful or they will switch off entirely. That's a massive risk for the NRL. I think they are also nervous about what a fully functional Parra side could be. With our CoE, huge fan base in a thriving city within a city, anything is possible. For now however we are kept just peeking out from under the rug, which keeps everytone happy.
