            • No I think Asi is more suited to the NRL than Hawkins. That's why he's played three times as many NRL games despite being a year younger. I'm sure we would've liked to have kept Asi as a backup but he is too good to be a backup (and not quite good enough to be a starter in the NRL). So it's off to the UK he goes.

              • I liked Asi, but he and Hawkins are two different styles of player. We need a Halfback, Asi was a Five-Eighth. But Asi was not going to stay as a back-up any longer, therefore Hawkins comes in. We needed an organiser, that was the issue with Brown and whoever partnered him. Hawkins at least can organise somewhat as an actual Halfback.

              • I liked Asi, has some good skills and an underated kicking game but was inconsistent. We dont have Harry as our hooker so we do need an organiser. Hawkins would have played a lot more 1st grade this year if he wasnt out injured long term. Ive watched a bit of him and he looks like he is a solid all round halfback .

                • Yes, and I think ASI is a reserve grader, until he can defend he will always be a heartbreaker.

Probably will go well in the UK where it seems halves don't have to defend to a standard as high as the NRL.... that is the difference Pou, and how many games ASI has played is semantic and circumstantial. If Moses and Brown were always available, he would have played none. Face it, we needed a back up half, if ASI was the choice he would have stayed.

Lets say we had Hawkins and Asi playing reserve grade as halves, do you think that Asi would play half ahead of Hawkins? NO

      • Thank you

    • We needed a backup half since the previous one left for greener pastures. We did have a backup 5/8, but no one really who could play half. I'd hope he is only required to fill in at NRL during SOO.

    • He will only play 3 games unless Moses gets a long term injury. No way ur negative about a proper backup

      • Any old halfbacks a proper backup. Morgan Harper is classed as a proper backup centre too. Does not mean they're the quality needed . We need a player of decent calibre because if one of our halves goes down our season is automatically shot right now.  It's not even debateable. Our season is done as we've invested so much in our halves and Dylan's useless if it's Moses that goes.

This is just an indication of how poor our cap shape is.

    • Wiz, cmon bro, Hawkins shats all over our previous back up 7s.

    • Not quite sure what you want? ASI went to super league for more money.
