That was the most guarded "Yeah he's probably going" kind of response possible.
"He's got a contract with us mate."
Yes, we know that MON. Paps had a contract with the Storm too. If he was staying there would have been stronger messaging from everyone including Lomax.
Whatever plans Lomax had to join R360 are dead in the water. Club very confident he stays now.
Are you as confident as you were in Galvin signing with us?
Didn't the Tigers say the same thing about Galvin? He has a contract with us and going nowhere, then released a few weeks later.
Lomax will be gone if they find a replacement. He's on big money for a winger so Ryles may look at him going saves a few bucks that he can put elsewhere. I'd love to keep him, but it's business at the end of the day.
MON actually said if Lomax does go before next season, he will lace up the boots and replace him.....
That's it - DONE DEAL
I watched this too- albeit I have to say the body language of the interviewers was interesting. It looked like they wanted poor MON to get to the point - but I guess he has to spin the normal line. I feel Lomax will be leaving too - another hole to fill. But I am happy to be wrong..
Get rid of the salary cap - it would fix all this. While creating a host of other problems.
Been saying this for a long time!!!
It's also shit that the NRL has worked for decades to build the world's best league competition with heavy investment in juniour development and these prick Saudis can just waltz in with their chequebook and steal the best players in the game.
