Eels offering Jordan samrani

It keeps lagging when I try putting the article up so I won't bother but coming from code sports.

The eels are offering Jordan samrani in a player swap for Mitch Barnett and also a three year 2.6 million dollar deal.Personally I think it's a bit to much.Lmk your thoughts 💭?

  • Samrani is gun, why we getting rid of him. Get rid of paulo and hopgppd all they do is lay down in the ruck and make so many errors.

    • I want Samrani to stay, he's coming along nicely. If we were to import a new forward for 3 years, as good as he is, he'd eventually be blocking a host of young forwards coming thru. Lets reward our juniors

      • Samrani is the one we can't let slip. We need to sacrifice and get rid of paulo, hopgood can stay as he shows plenty. Paulos time is up as an eel and we need to let tuivati, moretti, Teacum Brown, Ryda etc all play. Need to let go of simmo and put Richard in, we need youth in this team more than we need experience. Also papali needs a spot, i've said before we have Iongi who is like Hayne and Papalii who is like a Benny Barba. We are wasting youth on old heads like simmo, Paulo, hopgood.

      • To some no such thing as blocking.

    • I wouldn't say he is a gun but he is a decent player who can get better. Hell i even think we should look into him replacing Russell at Centre in 2027.

You are right though, he is signed for 2027, we should keep him.

  • Get him we need him !

  • If true I like the aggressive nature of the move.

JR knows his team can't compete with the big boys in the comp he just doesn't have the talent.

Again if we get this across the line it's a win for the club and it continues the upward trend.

The key here is if this is real they need to finish the job.

    • 3 years not too long? I think that also means we wont resign JDB.

      • Maybe but all I'm seeing is adding SoO talent to a foward pack thats devoid of that quality.Yes he's up there in age he's probably at the end of it but we've lost Brown Lomax in 12 months and replaced them with soso talent.

We need a win in recruitment and badly just for optics.I mean everyone round here was lauding Kolomatangi being age x at the end of his contract.

3 yrs screw it what have we to lose.Brisbane don't give a rats about Barnetts injury or his age. There carrying injury prone Reynolds and oldman Hunt yet Parra fans are worried about the same is what the premiership heavyweights are ready to get Barnett there tomorrow if they could.

Mind you do I think the Warriors are thinking Samrani is an enticement I doubt it.

    • Great point. Ryles said before Round 1 we need to strengthen the middle. We are desperate for that leader in the trenches.

And even if they did consult Samrani, how would he feel knowing he's not…"
