So i admit i am not into the NRLW, though if Parramatta do well then great i hope they win it for our club, also have a soft spot for Dean Widders as he was a wonderful bench player for us in the first few years of me watching NRL.
But i raise a question, we sign a player from a different code, they are allowed to still play that code. So this player is playing NRLW, then AFLW early next year. Now the years are much shorter in AFLW and NRLW than they are in NRL for example, so a situation like that would not happen in this day and age, though back in the day it did with players going to England to play in the Super League then coming back to Australia.
It is weird case, would you run the risk of injury? i sure wouldn't in today's game no matter what you play.

Yes I would LB . More games means more fitness and for professionals more money . In years gone past a number of elite athletes played winter and summer sports .
I guess but professional athletes can keep themselves fit during the off-season, do you want them comiing into the season with niggles from their previous sport or dare i say have them suffer a season ending injury when you could have had them for the start of the year.
Though there are benefits like Junior Paulo, last year was training for boxing in the off-season and was fitter than ever.
My understanding is that the woman's teams have limited number of games so who can blame them . Probably yes I agree If we were talking NRL and AFL instead of womens NRLW an AFLW there would be concern about injuries and other reasons . However the NRL and AFL themselves as well as clubs would no doubt block that move anyway because there is nothing in it for their codes or players clubs respectively .And so surely it would never happen with any full time sports players.
Yeah Driza I meant it as if it was NRL players
Fir NRLW I see why they do it as the seasons aren't as long
Love widders, never forget his form in the back end of 2004 and 2005 season
Theres some quality jokes here but i'll leave it alone lol
Not like you Snake hahah
With regards to the women ist a none issues because as you, said it's a shorter season.
With regards to the NRL players, some players (not many) have done different sports in the off season, ie boxing.
Also with the end / pre season as well as weights and skills programs there isn't really that much time theses days as compared to years ago when they could go over to super league.
Yes that seems correct Browny. On the other hand not all that long ago ( ? early1980 's and before ) footy players worked full time jobs as well to survive and feed their families . They had no time for gym and weight sessions . Some also played a consecutive season in England until it was banned .
