Eels hunt the Fox

Josh addo-carr to the parramatta eels?

The Parramatta eels will be watching the grand final carefully as they are set to make a huge play for josh Addo-Carr what makes this more interesting is gutho moving to centre and josh addo-carr wanting fullback it all makes sense now that storm bought eels George jennings.

  • Geez the dogs are making some good signings...Also jacob host joins souths

  • The bloke almost won the Dally M at fullback so why would you move him. Addo Carr will be a failure outside of the Storm system...he needs the discipline of Bellamy and Smith to be at his best.

  • If you have the time and the inclination have a look at the replay of the Storm / Souths match and look at JAC.
Watch Cody Walker double team / cut out / run around on JAC wing and watch how JAC does his defensive work.
Every time and I mean every time, JAC makes the right decision. Whether it's a run in or a hold back he gets it done perfectly. I see him marshalling the defenders inside of him on the moments and what to look for.
He is a very smart footballer who just doesn't get enough credit for his defensive qualities.
I think if he can do this from his position on the Wing, he would be a sensation at fullback.

    • Agree 100 percent. The only issue is Gutho. If he can be utlised better in another position then so be it.  He has however excelled in the number 1.  Big call to be made.

      • It's a real prickly one. I personally believe that we need a fast nimble fullback and that it's now a very crucial position but as captain and what Gutho has done for the club, we need to give him the respect to be able to participate and guide this discussion.  Hopefully the participants can sit down and have a professional discussion. If the club is looking to grab JAC to play fullback having Gutho in the bubble won't assist things.

            • Kill the assumption Pops, he would be flat out going from mid point to either side of the line for defense, likely have a heart attack if he had to do it more than once.

          • You did indeed!  Perhaps if Gutho is insistent on staying at fullback, the club may have to respect that decision. I do think our number one priority is getting some speed in the backline somewhere.
