Hes still untested. Wishart looked good for a while but now looks very average. I go with Joash unless Pezet comes at a reasonable price and years
lol I think I would trust Ryles with this. Ryles has never really been committed to Joash, if he was he would play him last round. Before you say Joash was hurt, he was 18th man for that game so if needed he would've played. Ryles could have named anyone 18th man.
I think Joash plays that Walker type role eventually, but not sure where he ends up in the meantime. Agreed, I don't think Ryles is convinced he is a top notch 5/8, but a good fill-in to have up your sleeve.
Papali'i has shown he can be a decent 14. He can fill in at Hooker if desperate, can play Fullback, Wing and Five-Eighth in a pinch.
We're you living living under a rock for his finals performance this season against the Bulldogs?

Joash has played let's be realistic... maybe 40 mins of good footy at 6 for us... 40 mins could even be a stretch. Fact is Joash's best position is 1. The fact you wouldn't want to sign a bloke like Pezet who's played brilliantly every time he's had to for a while now and who is actually a half... I'm sorry anyone that wants to keep Joash at 6 in favour of trying to sign Jonah Pezet is a blithering fool. Stop dreaming.
You are right, his best spot is 1. Joash has heart, he's a great character and showed he can be a capable back-up at 6. If Pezet when down you can put him in no worries.

One game against dogs, he was good, not sensational and yes he has promise.....it starts and finishes there.
Please explain these other games when he has played so brilliantly every time he has had to......do you really think Bellamey would let him go if he is as good as you make out......lets take a more realistic approach and say lets hope Ryles can turn him into a very good 5/8.....because he is not there yet.

Wonder how we fit Papalii, Lorenzo, Twiddle, Hawkins and Volkman in the cup team. Perhaps train Twiddle at centre ?
I think we should do this regardless. Twiddle at FB is blocked due to Iongi anyway but we he can an excellent centre that can play 1 or 6 too, like Manu. If he has a good pre-season there I'm even open to Starting Twiddle at centre in first grade.
