Eels attempt to remove clauses

The Eels have held talks with Mitchell Moses in order to remove get out clauses in his contract for 2027 and 2028.

In order to remove the clauses, the eels will need to give him a financial incentive.

  • lol. Well whattya know.  I bet we still won't punt the dope that agreed to them .

  • Why would they bother doing that and where does this information (source) come from. I suspect you have been sold a pup Joel! which one of your mates is taking the piss with you?

At the very least if this was happening, it would be done on the quiet. Why would you make it public?

Please explain the downside to the get out clauses? and what they would hope to achieve for something already negotiated. Given his price has probably risen since his last contract negotiations. why would you bother, the original deal is in the clubs favour!

Oh! Wiz will tell you he has gone down in value! Lol

    • Dean Ritchie

      • And how would Ritchie know this, there is no way Parra would leak it!

You guys keep listening to the journalists for this sort of shit and then you say how hopeless they are?

        Answer my questions Joel....Why?

  • It will get done, just might need to add in extra money for 2025 and 2026 as well, which can be done.

    • Please explain why LB?

      • What do you mean why you silly old fossil?  The club nor coach can't  do any real planning for the future when they don't know if their bloody players will even be here seemingly until about a week before a ball is kicked . You talk about stability being needed , well there's absolutely fuck all stability in this squad when your idol Mark " the shrewd businessman with degrees " Oneill has allowed every cunt to have a get out clause.

My guess is that Mitchell " deep pockets short arms "  Moses will be in for a hefty pay rise to remove his , and as for DylBoobs " lock up ya daughters " Brown , I'd be virtually demanding he keep his in anticipation he fucks off .  Hes the kinda player you can replace with his kinda coin  if he decided to walk out .

so lets assume this is true for arguments sake,  these further upgrades to remove clauses , coupled with BAs payout , Sivis payout, and any other payouts we are unaware of ( Gutherson maybe ). , how much has Mark Oneill cost us this offseason ?  And he still seems safe as houses.

        • Well that was great Wiz, you remind me of one of those "cowboys" all "hat" and no "cattle"

  • Hey Pops. It is my understanding that Parra have seen the error of their ways with Player options. Haze Dunster of all players has apparently just activated his player option for next year as well.

I have heard from within that all contracts with these clauses etc are now being seriously looked at with a view of attempting to come to an agreement in removing them. It may involve rejigging etc. But Ryles wants more control of his roster moving forward. Can only be a good thing i'd suggest.
