Apparently the case today has been delayed due to Parramatta and Melbourne engaging in deep talks to get a deal done. Negotiations had ran overnight. What is hilarious is people on social media believe Parramatta know they will lose so are making a deal. Ummmm no this is the NRL not wanting to be involved and not wanting their stuff leaked so the heavies are on Melbourne to get something done.
The rumour at the moment is it could be a three way trade. Jesse Ramien's name has been floating around as Cronulla want cap space in order to front load contracts for next year. One rumour suggested Melbourne would get both Lomax and Ramien, therefore Melbourne would be more open to releasing a player if they get two. Now could that be for example Howarth since Ramien will be one Centre? Maybe but it seems a deal could be struck at the 11th hour.
A separate report also suggests the call from Parra for Lomax not to play Round 1 could still be on table.

The only way you don't take him back and the only way is if Lomax has outwardly said he doesn't want to come back then your hands are tied.I think the clubs bent over backwards giving Lomax what he wants this is the thing that's being missed here. We've protected ourselves in the best way necessary and now Lomax wants his cake and to eat it to off a poor decision hey guess what not our problem.
Parra are being made out to be the unreasonable party here.If Melbourne we're in our space they'd be doing exactly what we are doing they no they would. The fact that there CEO has tried to lobby PVL and the nrl privately is another indictment on them as they no they haven't a legal leg to stand on there the ones that don't want to go to court and I think they no they aren't winning there they no hence these last minute negotiations.
Thats why I mention Parra don't mind going to court Melbourne crying foul to PVL and are desperate to get Lomax in there side desperate.
Did Lomax want to return to Parra? and would it be in the Eels interest to have a player who doesn't want to be there
I think a lot of us should get ready to be disappointed. Blore won't improve us. Warbrick has concussion issues and is error prone. Cant see Storm releasing a player that will actually improve. I am not getting my hopes up that this will turn out good for us
If it was war brick or blore I don't think Parra would have made a change. We need a quality player, and if we roll over for lower less I'd be disappointed. We rather take them to court.
It's a hard one this one but I think your right outside of getting one of there guns whatever player we do get it's lesser than what we are losing in Lomax.
For me with us losing Russell next year I'd take Howarth it's one less spot we need to fill and it's a direct outside back replacement even though we have Brian Kelly.
I don't think it would be Blore.
I'm going on limb, I reckon they'll trade in coates. He isn't expected to be back for 8 weeks. And it'd be huge for storms to have Warbrick, Lomax, Ramien and Howarth all lined up. I also don't think r360 will go head due to Iran. That's my thought.
Coates or nothing for me!
Thats correct cousin. Who would want to go to the middle east with all this going on.
Yes cuzzy
