Eels and Storm in last minute talks before courts

Apparently the case today has been delayed due to Parramatta and Melbourne engaging in deep talks to get a deal done. Negotiations had ran overnight. What is hilarious is people on social media believe Parramatta know they will lose so are making a deal. Ummmm no this is the NRL not wanting to be involved and not wanting their stuff leaked so the heavies are on Melbourne to get something done.

The rumour at the moment is it could be a three way trade. Jesse Ramien's name has been floating around as Cronulla want cap space in order to front load contracts for next year. One rumour suggested Melbourne would get both Lomax and Ramien, therefore Melbourne would be more open to releasing a player if they get two. Now could that be for example Howarth since Ramien will be one Centre? Maybe but it seems a deal could be struck at the 11th hour.

A separate report also suggests the call from Parra for Lomax not to play Round 1 could still be on table.

          • Hope not he's a player we don't need.

We need fowards like we need a hole in the head.

We are losing the best yeardage outside back in the game and replacing it with potentially a foward god I hope this isn't true.If we are player swapping it needs to be an outside back.

            • Allows us to move Williams into the middle and Blore a natural edge. It's better then nothing but agree would prefer an outside back

              • We don't need Blore. Williams is a better edge than middle. Also a better edge than Blore.

                • I don't disagree that Williams is better on the edge than in the middle and that he is better than Blore.
However I do believe that Blore is significantly better that Kelma, therefor making us better. 2 year deal means he isn't getting in the way of Latu or JFI, or Guymer.

Blore makes us better and I think it's genuinely unarguable that he doesn't. Experienced in finals, came through the Riffs system so you know he is hard.
Kautoga, Blore, Latu, Guymer, who else? Plenty of edges.
then Williams, Barnett(or JDB), Paulo, Sam, Moretti, T, Doorey.

                  GREAT PACK

            • i couldnt imagine them letting go blore, given katoa's injury.

Warbrick is off contract end of this year right?

          • Nah Katoa hurt, they can't decide between Chan and Lasati for other spot.

It could be a back either Warbrick or Howarth since they might get Ramien.

            • both in line for upgrades and they will need some flexibility to cover Nick Meaneys departure as well. could be viewed that Howarth stays.

              • With Ramien and Lomax there is your centre pairing. Not sure why Howarth would stay unless he is going to an edge.

                Warbrick won't be extending.

                • I think separate to all of this, Howarths best position is back row and it's a matter of time until he plays there full time.

                • Isn't Howarth signed with the Bears?

" I don't think Lomax  wants  to play Wing. Its a huge huge bugbear to him and appears to be the catalyst of why he keeps leaving clubs mid contract.

"Yep, there has been some amusing talk, but its all a load of bollocks innit.Dogs will offload him soon and he'll retire to a weak club that pays massive overs for him."

"All the pundits love him, which in-turn gets punters like yourself excited. Sure, he kicks big floaty bombs which is lovely, (some might say a bit of a gimmick) but has he ever really dominated a game? "
