It appears the board is trying to back down over me being actually suspended. I've heard from third parties, that they consider the fact that they have given me a suspended suspension means I haven't actually been suspended and all I have to do is be a good boy for the next six months and we're all sweet. I don't think they actually considered that I wouldn't agree to their terms and what that actually might meet.
For the record, I'm still not sure exactly where I stand because I still haven't received the formal ruling letter they promised me, and they're still not telling me what the Football Club ruling is. Honestly, is it too much to ask that if you get dragged through a disciplinary process, they they professionally handle the outcome.
Editor of Parramatta Eels fan site told to apologise for offending directors
The editor of the leading Parramatta Eels supporters website “1Eyed Eel” claims he has been suspended by the NRL club after images and comments were posted on the site which the club deemed “derogatory towards the directors”.
Philip Sim, whose daytime job is CEO of media intelligence firm MediaConnect Australia, said he has been told he must run an apology on the site for no less than six months for running a photo of Parramatta chairman Roy Spagnolo which depicted him as a puppet-master.
According to Sim, the club has suspended him until he runs the apology and agrees to ensure there is no further negative content posted about the directors of the club.
A spokesperson for the Parramatta Eels has rejected Sim’s suggestion that he was suspended. However, the club has yet to reply to repeated requests for official comment.

A war is brewing at the Parramatta Eels rugby league club between chairman Roy Spagnolo, a well-known identity in the Sydney and Griffith Italian communities, and Phil Sim, a journalist and media entrepreneur, over a satirical cartoon posted on Sim’s Eels supporters website.
Sim is also the owner of the Eels supporters’ website 1 Eyed Eel and was part of the ParraFirst board ticket in last December’s elections, which opposed Spagnolo’s Parra 4 Ever campaign (previously known as 3P) and included former star players Ray Price and Eric Grothe jnr. During the election many 1 Eyed Eel bloggers were critical of Spagnolo; one blogger posted a satirical cartoon depicting Spagnolo as a puppet master over fellow ticket nominee Grothe jnr.

It's called guilt...if the board isn't doing anything wrong why are they so worried about critisism. It's like the $10,000 fines on critisising refs. Censorship to protect the guilty!
People and media power is a powerful thing, this is all fantastic publicity for Phil and very poor publicity for spags.
Well done perfecta with the petition, 400 signatures and with every single one an email has been sent to the club, a radio interview with the biggest station 2gb for phil in a prime time slot, media coverage and internet and twitter coverage, this will make the club think twice before trying to pull this stunt again, just great stuff, and until the pressure is off Phil and the club has fully backed down the pressure will continue on the board from members of the club and the media.
You have taken the exact right action Phil in this drama, after this there will be no more trying to push Phil Sim around.

Not that it's anything to go on, but in 2000 a mate of mine and myself were escorted out of Parra leagues, because my mate was sitting on a stool and lost his balance and fell on the floor. My mate hadn't even had much to drink, he just lost his balance. The incident must of been caught on camera and while I understand that Parra leagues have certain issues to monitor, Ie drunkenness and people deliberately falling over to claim insurance, their reaction was over the top.
