C'mon down the Volkswagen!
I wouldn't offer DB 2 cents more to remove the clauses in his contract. I hope JR actually flips the script and says you're free to go now if your not happy.
"Just don't drag this out for the next 10 weeks, you are not a bonafide marquee player as your manager and ex coach has pumped your tyres and ego up with, actually you are on massive overs, be grateful and put the chewing gum and attitude away and start repaying and earning it"
The Volkswagen is probably only on $200k

Volk did look good Bert... in a trial. I wouldn't be swapping Brown just yet, agreed he is no 1.2 mil man, but he is a footballer, and a very good one.
Hey Archie, hope you are well mate.
DB can play, but $900k+ & still wanting more. Over the course of a full season he is a $500k player. Think Anderson at the Sharks pay packet in comparison.
Thats marquee money. What he has dished up since he became a regular 1st grader does not equal that or the longest contract in the eels history. He won Powerball and is still ungrateful when your throw boobygate into the overall picture.
Cant disagree with the Anderson comment Bert, or what Brown has contributed over an entire season in comparison to marquee money. He is a $750k footballer on history but a $1mil man on potential. I'd hate to see him leave and realise that potential now he is coming of an age whereby most mature.
I also liked the look of Papali'i at 14.
Brown should sign that option and praise God for his unbelievable good luck. Fair dinkum, Dylan you're a good player but mate, $1.2 million??? Can we just stop this charade.
Volk, Papali and Smith playing so well opens up all kinds of possibilities for us with that 14 jersey. Whoever is responsible for those signings......well done
Ryles and MON.
So where does Ben Rogers fit these days
Thats why Im not that worried about Brown. Upgrade Volkman to top 30 and use the 700k difference to strengthen another position.
Riley Smith also showed he is capable as a back up hooker.
There's a whole world of possibilities out there when we don't allocate huge portions of our salary cap to a select few players. I'd prefer that brown left but I don't think last night's game is going to enhance the chances of that happening. I think we are going to have to play hardball with him to at the very least get the options removed. Either way it will be a good result because he will either leave or stay and we know he's committed to the club.
If Brown were to leave and volkman to become first string he'd demand a large pay increase and definitely wouldn't be on the minimum wage. Still shave some cash of the cap but I think it be in the 300-450K difference in salary cap relief
