The entire argument of how a player performs in rep footy as opposed to club footy is kinda pointless because there's no salary cap constraints.
DB should aim up FFS he is playing for his country and surrounded by very good players; at Parra he was paid top $$$ and simply was not worth it, you can have all the talent in the world but unless you aim up then its worth stuff all.
I will be v interested to see how he goes in Newcastle. Paid a kings ransom.....
Dylan has shown over a number of years he aims up for NZ when he is selected. His problem always has, and always will be, aiming up in the week-to-week grind of the NRL, with less talented players around him where he needs to lead. He's shown nothing to me that he will ever be capable of that.
Obviously this is recency bias right because you must have missed the 2019-22 Dylan Brown he's more than what you described.I think what your missing is much like our whole spine whose actually stood up and been that difference 23-25 ?
How bout you look at the less talented players are they actually doing there jobs on the weekly basis ?
If this is a results based opinion then not one of our high priced talent has stood up right.
Dylan Brown 19-22 was no different to any other Dylan Brown at club level. He has not delivered consistently based on what he has taken from the club in terms of the cash he's been paid. No coincidence Moses stepped up during that time when the results followed, particularly defensively and his kicking game improved out of sight, and Dylbro cashed in on what Moses was starting to do.
How 'bout you take off your blinkers and realise Brown has not consistently delivered at club level, commensurate with his pay packet...
No different how many 18-19 yr olds you know represent there country.So when you say no different your wrong Brown was very consistent over the given time or he doesn't get picked.
So if he's so inconsistent as you say and he's not worth the pay packet why does Stacey Jones not only pick but he's starting for his country.If he like you describe no chance in hell he gets picked right ?
Unfortunately Browns form the last 2 years has mirrored that of the team.
Blinkers you say why not look at the whole body of work and then judge as for the money shit you could go through just about any team in the nrl and have the pay packet argument.You do understand rugby leagues a team sport right.
Your funny Moses stepped up because he's more experienced and more mature.That wasn't always the case go back and look at Moses career at the same given point I think you'll come up with alot of similar things that Brown is experiencing.
Only someone with recency bias brings this argument to the table.
