Yes it's always in the media. Thoughts think Ryles will get the best out of him. I personally would like him to stay still a baby will get better with maturity

  • Brown, no matter what side of the fence you are on, is a god given talented player. Some say he still has time to develop and fulfull his talent, others say he is overrated. I can understand both sides and lean in the middle. He has shown his inability to take over games by himself, without Moses he can fall a part. This year he got better the more he played without Moses, not amazing but he gradually got better.

At 25 this year he still has a year or two til considered prime age. I would like to keep him. But if Warriors offer him big money then i would not justify going above and beyond for him either.

    • He will leave when he wants to, that's the nature of his contract.

I believe he has a huge loyalty to Parramatta, but that can be said by many with their current club untill a offer "to good to refuse" comes along. I further believe he will go where his family are the most comfortable. If they are not happy with their Sydney digs, then he will go where they are happiest.

I have no question he has not been appreciated (by the so called fans) or well coached at Parramatta, BA was his mentor, but that doesn't mean he was well coached. Dyllan Brown is an elite talent but he was mentored by someone well intentioned, but  now proven record of not a coach of someone with Dyllan's style of talent.

Going back to the original question here, is that the biggest reason he decides to stay will be driven not just by loyalty or money either for that matter but being coached by someone that means we are a top 2 side.

I have a real fear that he was burnt out "somewhat" last year trying to please everyone as the best defender, best attacker and sacrificing both trying to cover for a backline that was a total disgrace and a forward pack with no work effort or attempt to cover defensively for him.

For the people who think he was a failure or disappoinment last year, all I can say is that you have no understanding of what a single person can handle by himself. There are not two many many players that have both his attacking and defending ability. Players like Lockyer and Thurston were elite and their coaches protected them so they didn't have to do "all the work".

      • BA threw Brown into 7 role when he is not a 7, when we had Asi and Sanders who have played the role in the past. When losing Moses the thing BA needed to do was keep the spine in tact as much as he could, lost a Halfback but then move his five-eighth with another five-eighth who is inexperienced in the position in the top grade. He weakened our 6 to strengthen 7 yet 7 was not strengthened at all and 6 was weaker. He bungled it so badly i wondered how he did it with 11 years and 240 games+ experience.

  • If Moses stays fit - I see Brown flurishing under Ryles.BA  had the same game plan for years with Brown - but Ryles I believe will have a set game plan for Brown. With a better backline,he will not hopefully tackle as much - and that will free up his running game.. Time will tell!!

  • This is the year we find out what dylan really is, he is without a doubt a talented player but to date has been inconsistent.  I believe his biggest problem in this regard was being in the comfort zone, as many were, under the leadership of BA and to a lesser extent gutho. Under ryles that comfort zone will be gone. I'm predicting we will see the best of dylan this season, if he shows the same level of inconsistency as previously then I will be more than happy for him to move on.

  • the contract was reported to have only 2 options in it year 4 and 7 why is the media now claiming its every year

    • It was always every year from my memory.

  • Dylan Brown shines when he can play free style footy, strong backrower on his left and a fullback with speed. His not an organiser or leader.

His best suited playing beside a organising seven or fullback.

I think Ryles knows how to get the best out of Dylan, let him play his own game.

It's no secret I think DB has been over rated, 2025 will prove me wrong. Ryles is building a fit, better defensive squad and a mobile forward pack and a backline with more speed.

For his career the Warriors would be a wrong move for DB, they lack a halfs leader and alot of pressure and noise will be on Dylan.

I agree with Pops, Dylan will talk to his family, do they want to go back to NZ will be a major consideration.

  • Load er up, press go, wash spin repeat.

The media are going to trot this out at least once a month until 2031 if he stays an Eel.

Thankyou Mark O'Neil the Options King.

My prediction is that Brown will have more dedicted 1EE blogs in his name, then any other , ever by 2031. hahahaha.

  • If the Warriors offer him ridiculous money then let him go. We shouldn't get into a bidding war.

    Moses is more important.
