DWalker confirmed 3yrs to Leeds

DYLAN WALKER TO DEPART AT SEASONS END!

Former Eels coach Brad Arthur has confirmed the signing of Eels utility Dylan Walker on a 3 year deal starting from 2027 for his side in England, Leed Rhino’s. This is a huge loss for an Eel’s squad lacking experience.

Dylan brings so much to the team and squad every week, report’s say he wanted a long term deal which Parramatta are yet to comment if this was offered or even a 1 year deal. Good luck Dylan, your skills will be so important for Leed!

UPDATE (SPECULATION): Walker was open to 2 year’s for 2027 + 2028 with us but was not offered this by the club and wasn’t even offered 1 year.

  • I would love to have kept him for another year, but I can't be too mad at the club for being cautious on this one. He would be on good coin and is entering that age where he could slow down massively in one pre season. He hasn't been anywhere near as effective this year as last. Timing is everything. Of course the announcement comes after he had his best game of the season. If this happened after the first Manly game then I don't think people would care because he was terrible that game and got smashed up.

Good luck to him. I do wonder if the plan next year is,

    A. Play a different style of footy

    B. Use an internal player to take up that roll

    C. Recruit a similar style of player

Lots of spots to fill in our roster. Hopefully so news soon.

  • We keep loosing players but don't seem to have any replacements.

    • Not sure who they think will take on his role. Paulo is nowhere near as fast or agile. He is just a bigger version of Yeo but without the stamina.

      • Agreed. The side for next year has a lot of holes, especially in experience and proven talent. Where is this all heading? At the moment we'll be running out a Jersey Flegg side.

  • I would have offered 2 years, maybe the club did but regardless he served us well and was a great signing

  • Well for a team that is short on NRL experience, this seems crazy to me to not even offer next year. You can only hope he has some new signings coming to replace him.

    • Yes and most especially will miss his ball playing when we haven't got a 6 moving forward :( ... he plays like one

we made up our mind on him quite early on year too :(

Disappointed we didn't give him a go earlier at 6 actually when we in a pickle there

Reckon we've mistake a mistake here

      •  the fact no other club wanted him would suggest the manager wanted overs

  • The speculation started from the dope over at toilet paper podcast. Walker wanted 3years and althe club were only comfortable to offer 1year. Understandable from both sides and do wish Walker the best over in SL.

  • I would've offered 2 years and a club option. If we can offer a 2 year contracts to JDB we could have offered him at least 2
