Today we witnessed another botched training session with the Eels.
This club is failing badly in it's Duty of Care by having elite players out in the rain.
NO rain hats anywhere - NO gumboots - and the ONLY person seen with any sort of rain protection was the coach.
How the NRL can allow this blatant disregard for player health and well being to continue is deplorable.
Imagine the consequences if the rain should trickle down a players underwear.
Imagine the effects the cold water would have on their performance.
No water proof shoes could lead to wet feet - which in turn leads to wet toes - which in turn can lead to very smelly feet, toes, socks.and shoes
The players then finish training and head to the communal showers where foot smell and germs are spread uncontrolled throughout the entire squad.
This could lead to players being suspended for placing their smelly feet near an opposition players nose when he is on the ground - a most serious issue indeed.
The fans should rise up and stand as one - I mean sitting on wet seats is also not good for you.
ALL future training should be suspended until these serious issues are addressed - BUT - we have it from a reliable sauce the club will NOT supply stamps for the addressed issues - E technology cannot carry watery wet issues so once again we see a cover up - well actually a lack of cover up for the players - being ignored.

ITS AN OUTRAGE !!!
Robbie wont be happy.
Seriously, I would not be training in the rain. Take them to the pool for umpteen laps or to the weights room or do some aerobic/pilates work but training in the rain increases the risk of knee and ankle injuries due to slipping and twisting.
