Not really sure what to say after that. Storm missing a shit load of players also.

  • So much hope coming into this season, and its over in round one. Different year, same old shit

  • Lost for words

  • I want to be positive. I just cannot.

At least round 1 last year, we were missing Moses, new system and nearly a whole new 13.

    what's the excuse this year?

  • Ill try find a positive. Hopefully this deflats some ego's and they switch back on

  • We missed Drowns defence, and his ability to cover some line breaks. Broncos should be worried about Pezet, kid was made to look good by the Storm squad. Always the risk with signing a Storm's player.

  • Definitely an ugly game but realistically we don't have the firepower to go with the heavyweights. Need to clean up all the errors and avoid those BS 6 agains. Ryles will get them back off the canvas again and onto next week

  • So disappointed. With all the hype after finishing strongly last season and dishing this crap up, I am lost for words. Pezet was a disaster. I think Talataina or Joash would have offered more. Moses is not a leader and went missing. To many missed tackles and no cohesion in defence. I am lost for words.

    • To be fair to Moses, when a half has no good forward from their forwards it is difficult to do much at all.

Ryley Smith missed 7 tackles and Da Silva missed 0 go figure.

      • I am over making excuses for Moses, LB. He only stands up in rep footy. Surely your club comes first. I am bitter and twisted atm, another embarrassing effort from the Eels when under pressure. With all the hype in the preseason and the way we finished last year, I am so disappointed.

I  am sure excuses will be made, but I am sick of making excuses for this team.

        • I understand and i blamed his leadership. But also, ask any expert and even ask the likes of Payne Haas when asked, Halves are only as good as the forwards making metres for them. Pezet didn't help him much either. In Origin he has forwards doing it as they are the best of the best.

He was not good by any means when given the chance but the forwards needed to be better and Hookers needed to be as well.

"Agree on all EA. Storms forwards simple outmuscled us specially by Stefano, who was an Eels junior, but that's another story.
