Does Dylbags deserve one final farewell?

I'll broach the elephant in the room. Parra's last game of 2025 (barring a miracle) is on Sunday the 7th of September at 4pm against the Knights at CommBank.

Do we give Dylan Brown one final send off before he heads to the Hunter with his squillions? A final lap of honour after the siren?

Whatever you think of him, he's been a loyal servant to the club for the past eight years.

Alternatively, we continue to ignore him and pretend the whole thing never happened.

Thoughts?

    • Fui is the type of player that deserves a farewell. He's a club legend and will always be remembered as an iconic Eels player. He always put in.

Dylan will be iconic as Corey Norman or dare I say it , our other court attendee ,  Brett Funch 🤢

    • I was gutted when the big fella got punted like that. It made me doubt BA at the time, my feelings turned out to be spot on.

      • Yeah , I can understand us taking a stand on some of the aforementioned players that got the same treatment , as by the end of their careers they were simply taking a wage , so fuck em.  But Fui put in his all on the paddock right till the day he left.

Tim Meh'nnah , please . Plodder .  See ya champ.  How can it be a farewell when you are hanging around the front door sooking to everyone about how you were treated . You've never fucking left.

        • It wasn't about Tim not getting a farewell, just that he got dropped and then Brad stopped engaging with him. And that extended to Tim getting offered in a player swap to the Tigers, the deal being agreed and then Brad killing the deal without telling Tim. That's a shit way to handle anyone, let alone a one club player, former captain and someone a played over 230 games for the club.

Whether you liked him or not at the end of his career, he deserved more than being frozen out by the head coach for virtually no reason.

          • Someone should ask Nathan Brown what the problem was.

            • Didn't Brown call out Brad Arthur on the selection of Jake Arthur?

              • That was the 1EE rumour.  The other rumour was that he was out injured and went out on the piss and got in a fight protecting Jarryd Hayne's honour and got himself in the papers , and after that Arthur put a red pen through him.

But hey, how cool does the 1EE rumour sound 😂😂 , I heard him and Brown had a massive punch up and Jake was crying to leave his dad alone . Then Dylan Brown who was pounding the young princes Arthur at the time , jumped on Nathan Browns back and covered his eyes whilst Jake kicked Nathan in the shins.

                • Wasn't a rumour it was fact straight from Nathan's mouth to my mate who knows Nathan.

                  • Maybe mate, but it's still not confirmation that's why he was punted. They're all pretty much still rumours , someone tells someone something , who then posts it on Facebook or some kind of socials , it's still just someone we've never met , saying something we have to take as what happened, it's a rumour.  I've posted heaps of shit I have been told , but to me they're just my gossip that I'm sharing.,

maybe it's true, maybe Brown was beating his chest after being dropped  , where in reality he just had a shit attitude , got dropped and needed to stroke his ego by claiming he gave the coach both barrels and that's why he's dropped , he hasn't exactly set the world alight ever since.

my logical thinking wonders why he's never brought it up in the media , nor have any other players that've since left . Someone like Buzz or Kent would've had a wank over that kinda tea . If infact Arthur did punt him for challenging his sons selection I'd be first inline to sign the petition for this story to be released . It's just weird it's never seen the light of day when we know full well some " so called " journos read this site.,

          • Yeah well, that's Meh'nnahs version, the version I heard around that time was he was bickering with Moses because Tim and his Uncle Issac had parted ways.  Yeah I get what you're saying about if the blokes a goose then let him piss off , and it seems quite odd we would've blocked his leaving.

As I said, that's Tim's version he has been sooking over since the day he left.  But one thing that is true is, he was plodding for years.
