This game with a few minutes to go, the ref clearly calls the marker not square on a delayed call, the Eels challenge and he says you can't challenge, it was a 10m penalty, bruh what???
In the first half, he calls the worst forward pass call ever!!!
On the dropout, he clearly calls Brain Kelly offside???

This game seems rigged, some teams get the rub of the green alright. PANTHERS come to mind, that game against then tigers, boy their were some bad decisions against the tigers. Yeah they wouldn't have won but not flogged like they did. And to hear Ricky call that try a bad decision against the Raiders, his players getting hurt every tackle, bad decisions against us, he not very talkative about that. The ref makes it very hard for us EVERY week, it's unbelievable that nobody calls it out. This game is becoming unwatchable.
This week and last, I'm gobsmacked at some of the decisions. Some of them are just blatantly wrong. How Ryles hasn't lost his shit is beyond me. Haven't watched last night's presser though.
The defense has certainly improved, although what the Faders are dishing up since Fogarty left is just dog shit. Glad to get the win regardless.
The refs are probably one of the biggest issues in the game. Problem is they are a protected species and never accountable.
Klein is on around 300k per year, I'd like to see that number dropped to $150k with say 300k worth high performance incentives attached. Klein is also not held to the same standards as say a Todd smith or a Chris Butler. Klein has a horrible game with several howlers and nothing ever happens
What would be the performance clauses? They already have metrics they are graded on which is the reason we are in this mess. Trying to get it perfect is the issue.
Issue with performance clauses are how do you know if they have met them? There will never be such a thing as clear cut refereeing where everyone is happy or satisfied with their performance. Some more than others we like but still it would be so objective that one ref might miss out and the other won't on incentives and how's that fair?
Right now you could argue the incentive is getting Origin or a GF as their incentive. As you can see the best ref doesn't get it either.
I remember some journo's had an idea brought to them of having a ref press conference and they said awful idea. Well now hang on, why not? They should be held accountable for their decisions.
