Depth coming through

Now forgive me for not knowing how our depth is going as only one televised game has been on this year. And from what ive seen and heard, there are no standouts, particularly in the forwards. Twal is the name always brought up but nobody else

Gower seems to be the only one. Tanginoa has hot and cold games. O'Brien is terepo 2.0, and Hasson was average at manly and based on the mounties games, he is still the same.

So does anyone know any rookies, particularly in the forwards that could be a bolter to make their debut this year or next?

  • Young front rower in flegg steve dressler looks the goods from one game i saw and the word from other people still a year or 2 away but has alot of potential.

Outside of twal i can't think of any.
    • Have to agree, but he's a few years away from NRL yet.  Twal sadly is injured but no reports as to what it is & how long out.

Never was a fan of Terepo, had a good game the other week, but gone back to his old standards so it seems.  I watched a few games of Manly last year & thought Hasson was ok but clearly surprised he was signed by the eels.

"fraid the stocks at the moment for props are not as good as we hoped, shows with Mannah being out.  I do think Gower is a better fit to the back row/lock position. though.

    • Dresler is certainly one to look out for but is only turning 18 this year and not ready for first grade. He'll more than likely move up to the 20's full time now that the SG Ball season is over for the Eels. If he plays well this year there may be a few chances for him to train with the first grade squad over the next off-season but even then I'd say he's still another season away from making his debut based on what I've seen so far.

  • I think it's time to look in another direction than poor old terepo. He runs hard which is teriffic but you have to be able to hold the ball at this level. He dropped 4 balls tonight and he he is always good for at least one drop.
  • Looks like we really needed some Props tonight

    • Mannah back next week
  • Kelepi needs to be given a chance. this season he has been smashing it in wenty.

  • Penis Torpedo but back to his Bumbling best, the poor bastard thought he was playing AFL he fumbled so much.

  • I have no idea why Kelepi Tanginoa isn't getting a go, he is killing it in the 20's throw him up front and do run hard all day. Simple game plan

    • He's 22, no wonder why he's killing it in the 20's. Should probably move him up to the ISP.

"I did modern day as 1998 onwards as I didn't see them play, as some here haven't. Where I believe majority of people here have seen all the modern day players play.
Plus it frees up some spots like we all know who 5/8 will be but now no idea."
