De Gois or Peats.

It would appear that after last nights performance BA, is going to have to make a tough decision next year in regards to the Hooker role, considering that Peat's was in brilliant form at the beginning of the season and he was considered for SOO 1, and whilst De Gois was absouloutley brilliant last night, brilliant tackle's & speed out of Dummy half.

So who would you pick to start Peats or De Gois?

  • Peats is a far better player. But its nice to have suck great depth in the hooker department for a change.
  • Peats

  • degois has only played one decent game thus far....peats for me

  • Peats. But considering he's had knee and shoulder recos this year it might be worthwhile to carry a hooker on the bench
  • No question it's Peats.... IDG was only bought as a replacement and will be off the bench beginning of next year until Peats is 100% to play 80min then unfortunately IDG will be Wenty's starting Hooker.

  • Hands down, Peats,

  • Peats performance at the start was actually better than Cameron Smiths.
Nothing wrong carrying 2 hookers allowing peats to play 55-60 mins and using a fresh De gois for 20-25 mins.
Brian Smith loved this ploy and stated "changes throughout a match aren't necessarily used on tiring players but to up the tempo at particular stages throughout a match"
  • Both. Peats will start with De Gois off the bench. BA may even adopt a similar role in which Peats played some minutes in the back row at Souths.
    • Marsh and Riddell Version 2.0

    • I agree but IMO DeG would also be effective as a lock for short periods in the game if BA elected to leave Peats on & bring DeG off the bench. His defence last night was terrific & for a bloke at the latter part of his career, he never stops.
