Craig Bellamy ?

Despite the board's and Kearney's repeated attempts to downplay the clubs current woes by promising for the future, it is clear that Kearneys time is almost up. Now the rumour mill is rife that Ricky Stuart is the next coach in line but I say we take a leaf out of the bulldogs books and look to sign a serious top-line coach - im talking about Craig Bellamy. What hes done at the storm, even after the salary cap scandal, speaks for itself. His contract there expires at the end of next year and I reckon if the storm win a premiership before then, Bellamy could seriously consider a new "challenge" . The only other mention ive heard of a club looking to sign bellamy was in one of phil rothfield's blogs when he commented that out of all the coaches on the market , the one with the highest chance to be coaching at the roosters in 2014 would be bellamy. So what are your thoughts ? (and for those who might say that Kearney is friends with bellamy and so bellamy would not come, why cant we do what both the dogs and newcastle did by offering kearney the assistant role under craig?)

  • No chance Bellamy would leave the storm..And no chance he would take the job from his mate Kearney !
    • same was said about des hasler leaving manly though

  • Bellamy to the Roosters 2014

  • Don't want him he is a cheat who not only rorted the cap but robbed parra as well ,

and they are still cheating, by rorting the cap they got to keep smith cronk slater did these three pay there money back .

They are still there now as a result of rorting the cap in the past .

how many international players can you have in your side and not be over the cap ,earlier in the year they had 8 on the feild that i knew of at the time.

BOTTOM LINE BELLAMY IS A CHEAT A LIAR AND I DONT TRUST THE MOTHERFU****

    • No they haven,t paid the money back and the property investments they made at the time are doing very nicely.

  • Des had no connection to kevin moore, Bellamy wont knife SK in the back and take his job, If parra wanted any chance of Bellamy then they needed to hire someone that wasnt from the storm.

  • Bellamy won't knife Sk

Bellamy if he leaves will go to roosters who will offer him half of bondi

still think he will only leave Melbourne when the big
    3 retire
  • AH i see keep SK to the end of 2013 then sign bellamy.

  • my p.o.v exactly

  • money does talk, but Bellamy is already on 800k per year at the storm.

His next contract would have to be significantly larger to get him to move clubs...

He will naturally be upgraded by Melbourne...probably to 1 mil

1.5 mil a year might get him over the line to switch clubs

"De Belin will do a lot of the clean up work, the 3rd man in for our defence. Hopgood is now not alone in that area. He will not be flashy but he will definately do his job."
