    • Haha see the former GF try scorers bomb!!! Haha

      • I was waiting to see who was going to be the one to try and single that out.  Come on , yeah it's blatantly obvious he's miles behind the level he's at , always was. But he's not Robinson Crusoe amongst the backup halves around the game as not being good enough to be a regular 1st grader.

But surely you aren't blaming that on him considering the ball he was thrown ?  He did well to hold onto it.  His handling was great last night , he was thrown about 4 terrible balls and didn't spill a single one , and every other one of his kicks were quite good , high and deep. His kicking was probably the only part of his game that stood out as quite decent.

        • Yeah, that was a bludger of a pass. Not sure what the kid was supposed to do with that and smith charging at him.

Tbh it looks like he's been working on his game and his kicking game looked longer and better than when he debuted. I reckon he went all right given it's his first nrl game in 18 months. He definitely wasn't the reason they lost.

  • I think joash should definitely  be our utility  bench player giving speed to the ruck when fatigue sets in, a very capable player filling in anywhere in the backline if needed. I think walker should be our 13 with hopgood going to the middle rotation and giving walker a rest when needed. I'd like to see parra go after sandon Smith or pezet if galvin goes to the dogs both hugely  talented half's

    • If we don't get Galvin I would rather us develop within the club. Twiddle or Lorenzo.

      • Exactly. Or get Galvin to play 5/8 initially, then move him to the back row in a few seasons, when Twiddle or Talataina are ready...

    • Sandon Smith would be my first pick too. I have a feeling the Roosters will keep Hugo Savala, and when DCE arrives, so they can't keep 4 NRL quality halves on the books without letting one go.

Sandon Smith was great last night, I could imagine him working well with Mitch.

  • Only Jason knows the answer to that question, any I'm wearing my eels colours around like BOSS! 😂 Go the mighty eels!

  • Joash has plenty of talent especially in attack but as with most young kids consistency and defense are the issues.  Gus had big wraps on him in commentary but it is another promising junior that left the bulldogs.

That is 3 good buys from the bulldogs juniors.  Samrani,  Kautoga and Papalii now at the Eels.  I would love to beat the bulldogs in couple weeks and see these 3 have big games.  We have a buy following the bulldogs then titans and dragons games.  If we upset the dogs or panthers next week then win the other 2 games, I believe that puts us in the 8 but don't see us staying there as our draw then gets harder.

  • Iongi to 6

    Josh to fullback
