    There have been rumblings that NRL are pissed at Mal for the job he's been doing and talk of Mal having cold feet. A few journo's reckon Perth could have a new coach. But then again Gardiner is the future as well.

      of course the guy is a dope......he wanted a payday and forgot its not Origin where he can hide behind experts...will alway be an absolute Myth......the origin series wins had NOTHING to do with Mal.....His NRL career could be shorter then his politcal one.....

        The NRL made a massive mistake hiring Mal. Pretty much Brad Arthur was ready to go, the media in Perth were showing signs of being anti-NRL so they decided instead of Arthur who is vanilla with the media, get Mal who they consider charismatic. Issue is, Mal is not what many think he is. Wonderful players but as a personality the respect many have for him has gotten him so far.
        
        Perth needed a coach that would be great at building rosters, getting the most out of mid to low range players and can handle the media pressure. Mal wouldn't handle the media pressure and i don't think is handling it. NRL just used Mal as a likeable face and also wanting a recognisable figure for Perth. Issue is, most in WA have no clue who Meninga is. In hindsight i reckon they go Arthur or Peters the NRL.
