Surely we have the cap space, and not a top 30 spot free. Could we keep brown, move him to centre and if we get Galvin early move him to 6. Have a decent crack this year and see how we go. Throw moses and lomax in there as well.

    • Well Brown would get O'Brien sacked quicker. If he brings in Brown and they still lose games AOB is gone months earlier. The club will try and make the Brown issues about AOB not them.

    • I think the biggest problem rn is Newcastle not having the cap

  • So now they everyone  has pulled out of Galvin like he's a single mum of 5 kids , and he's done with the Tigers forever , what do you offer him ? He sure as fuck ain't getting a million plus  anywhere else of note .

    • Exactly Wiz, his definitely not worth a 1mil! The kid is 20 .

Offer him 700k per year for 3 years and tell his manager take it or leave it..

      • Bye now what.

      • My guess is we've already agreed to terms, just awaiting his release from the tigers (formality). I'm hoping those numbers are about right, that's a win/win for both parties. He is fairly compensated over a reasonable timeframe with scope for upgrades in the future. We've got a hot young talent on money that is a lot more than what he was on at the tigers and is reasonable in the circumstances without going overboard.

  • This story keeps changing daily so cool heads need to prevail ....let the curious continue, have faith in front office to make the right call.

    • There a big problem because Issac Moses then has us by the nuts having Moss and Galvin potentially on the books. He's got his claws well and truely in Parramatta and holds alot of leverage over the club that's a big issue going foward.

      • Agree, weak clubs let player managers run a muck

Neither the storm or the Panthers have these  issues when it comes to player managers - remember what happened to Teddy, Moses and few others in 2016? Tigers got torn apart.

        • We are a weak club we let Moses Gutho and DBs PAs control the narrative.

I don't know what they have on the table for Galvin but would it really surprise you if our  FO acted out of desperation and blew there load on Galvin.

I mean if we could get something started with a 8 I'd say they'd have done a great job because that's about where I think someone of his quality starts but if we've gone for the doctor early in years and 7 figures it'll only confirm what I already know about the characters that run us.

To say BA was a waste for 11 seasons is unfair. He came in and did a very necessary job, ideally  he would have finished around the 2020 mark…"

"Well Bobalicious , it was actually statistically Barrett that was playing for the spoon last season. He did coach about 70% of the games. But yes I agree , we certainly do have far less talent on the ground this season from a spending perspective.…"
