If it was to happen, i am fine with it. Just more likely Lorenzo looks elsewhere either 2027 or 2028. But if Ryles feels Burton is better option, why not go for it. Would like to see Burton with a proper Halfback. Also, having a good goal kicker is important now haha.
Not necessarily. I know Burton is against it but Lorenzo can stay in Cup till end of 2028 and then Burton moves to centre.
I know we need to elevate juniors and I am on that bandwagon. But juniors need to get it like they can't just demand NRL games straight away. Guys like Iongi were in Cup until 22. Lorenzo is 19.

Strictly on Burton, he's great IMO. All the players at Canterbury just being wasted doing wild shit.
Agree with LB and Yehez on this and especially the aspect of patience for the juniors, injuries and what we see from HIA's to ACL's are a part and parcel of putting a team together.
Well said guys, I hope you are right....Burton makes up for the loss of Brown and we can start looking at a number of positives, including a tactical leader if Moses for what ever reason cannot play. Not to futher mention we would have the 2 longest kickers in the game and a more reliable first choice goal kicker (which I hate to say, but Mitch is going to far down the average totem pole, in that arena).
His long kick is relied on by Dogs as they don't have anyone else. He has a killer bomb and a long kick but not the accuracy like Moses. Having Moses taking the majority of kicks makes Burton's bomb more of a weapon.
Burton is not an organiser but his kicking can make him a makeshift 7 when Moses not there maybe too?
Also Burton can be a 13 maybe. He has the body.
I think Lorenzo does still need NRL, like 5-7 games a year this year and next.
I'm just spitballing. I am still with Ryles a the moment and whatever he decides. If he decides Lorenzo won't make it for a while or at all (I disagree btw, I think Lorenzo is doing well in cup), then I'm OK.
Yehez, I was agreeing with you and then you fcuked it up with your lack pof rationality.
1. Burtonnis an organiser, did you see how he managed that win last night for the dogs.
2. He will cost us best part of a million in an environment when his class of player is literally gold being available now!
3. If we were willing to let Dyllan go, my guess we would probably pay the 1.3 now.....that makes Burton a bargain at 1 million......he actually suits our game better than Dyllan, he offers us more for the team!
You just said Burton is against it, so therefore good chance of it not happening. If a team wants Lorenzo and there is a clear path to FG, he will take it. As for kids earning their stripes. It's nice in theory but not the real world in sports. I mean majority of us all here would take opportunity more than loyalty.

LB, I am maturing slowly, my wife thinks too slowly......she wants to see a body of evidence.
Two year deal for Burton is also OK.

But again would he take that? He's only 26.
Burton would be looking for 3-4 years on 5/8 money. Simple as that. He can demand it as teams would pay it.
