Ever since i saw the Ch. 9 news reel with Jai playing with his daughter and then struggling to speak/ slurring his words...I'd layed my anger at everything about our failing club (results- recruitment) aside. Fuck it...what does it even mean? Simply childsplay and we get angry and frustrated when grown men don't do well enough running and kicking a ball. It means nothing at the end of the day.
Gut wrenching stuff. I've seen what Rob Burrow went through and I feel terrible for Jai and his young family.
May God (If there is one) help him and his family.
Souths is a great club and they will support Jai and his family all the way. Wayne Bennett's words were very touching.

Compared to someone like Paul Kent, who had cancer and being told would have been devastating. But there was hope of beating it. For Arrow to not only be told you have a disease, but there is no cure, I could not fathom the reaction to that. How he went to that presser was brave.

I watched the presser yesterday and it was gut wrenching. I don't know how he held it together.
My thoughts are with him and his family, and I hope he has a supportive network around him to offer comfort and assistance during this time.

Im happy that Wayne said the club is there for him.and he's still a big part of the group and will.also travel with them to all away trips.
A friend of mine got MND way back in the about 1990. He was a decent enough player for St Marys. Saw him January and he said he had to give up footy due to what everyone thought was Chronic Fatigue. Unfortunately, he deteriorated quickly and about 8 months later he lost his battle.
Hopefully, modern treatment means Jai has much more time with his family. The longevity of Neale Daniher possibly gives him something to inspire him.
