  • Roosters let him go, now Bulldogs have pulled out of the race. Gould is still pretty close with Nick Politis... I wonder if this is a red flag that we're missing?

    • Bulldogs are chasing a half and don't have the cap for him wether or not Gould runs his mouth about how much money they have

  • Flanagan has come out and said that the Dragons only have 2 spots left in there roster and he intends on keeping one spot open for the start of 2025. They are focusing on getting a half or 5/8 and he said they will not pursue Terrell May. So that leaves Eels and Tigers chasing his signature. May is the player we need, he has youth on his side and was probably in the top 3 forwards last year. He would be a great addition to our forward pack and could become the forward leader we lack.

    • Esp with paulo still around to mentor him!

      • Thats a really good point about Junior being able to incentivate him and lets not forget that Sam Moa could play a great part in this. I don't know much about the player personality wise but what has been said about his dislike of training and by that "lazy" is a concern. BUT many great players have emerged with this being a former trait! Here lies the challenge!

        • Some, on here have said he's been a lazy trainer. Hayne was accused also, but did that affect his form on matchday. He's reputed to be questioning his desire to play, just like some film actors have in the past. But in every case those same film stars never followed thru with it as they became to used to the money and adulation. If we get him I see him becoming in time the leader of our pack along with Hoppy! I see small risk but a hell of a lot of Upside.

          • Smart man Richard, you would have to be the most astute person on this site. You don't post often but when you do, you make a hell of a lotta sense!

  • Just hope parra dont low ball they always go in low offer we certainly need a starterfront rower with paulo dont think Joe O is a starter only leaves Lane and greig if we could sign May and brailey would be a huge boost top 8

    • I don't think we will low ball him, nor will we over pay. May was on $450k at Roosters, he will get similar. Some close to me think he will get $700k or so, i doubt it since he has the fact of Roosters letting go dangling over his head. He could get $600k max. Tigers could be dumb enough to get him for $700k but would he want to go there?

I feel we will give him at or slightly above what he was on at Roosters. If a bidding war persists we wont bother, as wont Dragons and seems Canterbury didn't either.

    • Top 8? If that lineup can't win a comp I don't know what will
