Nathan Brown is a chance to start in a late shake-up to the Eels’ forward pack for the Grand Final against the Panthers.
The Daily Telegraph’s Dave Riccio revealed on Triple M that Brown is being considered to start, with Ryan Matterson switching to the bench.
“There is a little tip around that Brad Arthur could go with starting Nathan Brown with Matterson on the bench,” Riccio said

I actually thought about this yesterday. If Nathan Brown is 'supposedly' there for his controlled agression and to put the added pressure on Nathan Cleary as had been indicated by many then how can he do that if he's not starting given the start of the game is of the utmost importance and if he's on the bench and only comes on towards the last 15 -20 mins before half time
Gees not sure about this.
The fact he's back after such a long layoff might push him to overplay his hand. Last thing we need is a binning early or worse, a send off.
He's perfect for short 10/15min burst each side of half time. Please BA don't do this......
Mmmmm I don't know. Niukore has done well starting, so maybe stick to that, Nuikore does an intense 20, then maybe Brown does a flat out 10 keeping the line speed and aggression up, then Matto as their forwards slow up a bit and Matto uses his ball skils and agility.
Don't change the set up.
Start Niukore For Matterson and bring on Brown when Reg or Paulo come off.
I actually do not mind this, Brown gets a good 15 min start, rattle Cleary early if that is his role.
I don't believe this is a good move. Don't change marata his a beast
After thinking about this overnight I like it. Brown starts full of aggression then when we need to rotate the props on comes Nuikore and Matterson and we maintain great go forward with ball skills. This is the best we can do without another specialist big prop on the bench plus it may be a bit wet so the more mobile bodies may suit us if it is a heavy track. It rained all night in some parts of Sydney but don't know if it rained around Homebush. Clear skies where I am at the moment about 1 hour from the ground.
Why pick him if not for the first 10- 15mins. We need to stamp our authority from the start and make Penrith our bitch. The early battle in a GF is not about attack but D and that's why he's there
It really depends on why he's picked him. Has he picked him to unleash Hell in the first 20, or has he picked him to help hold things together when the Ferrari's go off in the middle 3rd of the game.
To chase the collision and front load the effort apparently
