looks like the Roosters are happy for cheese to leave the club this year. Is this why the Brailey deal has gone cold??? Anyone heard anything? Im assuming there is a connection with JR and cheese from storm days. I would definately be a fan of this signing...

Totally agree. I thought hands played very well under Baz. Hopefully goes to another level under jr
Also have to remember in the second half of the season Hands never had Hopgood. So our middles were just big immobile forwards that struggled to defend with the speed of the game. So Hands was doing a lotof covering for our props.

Looks like he spent the offseason in the gym.
Problem is, we would still be using Hands and Lussick due to Cheeses injuries so there's no point having that much coin tied up in a player that won't produce until 2026
Of course The Rorters want him off their books, he's pretty much a write off for 2025. They want to have every fucking player that's decent on the market , let them reap the rewards of it. Any club that helps them out of this pickle needs their heads read.
Correct Wiz. Even if he comes back this year he won't be any where near his best. Roosters know they will not get anything from him this year and he is off contract end of 2025.
Roosters are just looking for someone to pay his contract money for 2025 so they can recruit a replacement straight away. Maybe they are looking at Brailey
He is just not that good.
LIke Addo Carr, Smith is still a very good player but is getting some injuries now. I'd welcome here, we need a level up at 9, but it needs for the right money and length.
I'd give Cheese 2 years at 500-550 max (and Roosters can add 200 or so).
I'll tell you now Brandon smith isn't taking a 500k 2 year deal anywhere lol
I wouldn't touch him not because of his ACL but other issues he has.
