Braith podcast.

Was listening to Braith Anastas podcast and he said he's actually spoken to Rylesy, club is definitely interested in sandon smith but he also mentioned Ryles was looking at another player but he stopped short of saying who it was. Sounded like a big name but he said he better not go there. Interesting

  • To throw a spanner in the works, Munster is managed by Braith hahaha. Not going to happen.

  • The other player could be Pezet from the storm who just happens to be managed by braith.

    • 💯 The 'other' player which Braith almost said would be Pezet. He bit his tongue because it may be a conflict of interest that they've been rambling on about earlier, when talking about Gus. Ryles woild know those Storm players well, in terms of their potential and character.
If it was about any other player like Metcalf, Hughes or any other current stars, he would have dropped the name.

      • Agree, think Pezet makes more sense than others named.

  • Braith has Munster Pezet and Lachlan Ilias on his books.  Hopefully it isn't Ilias but he could do a job at 5/8 next to Moses if needed I just don't think he is better than other options out there.

When Hughes resigns with Melbourne, it has been mentioned Pezet may be loaned out to develop his game in first grade.  Bellamy would trust Ryles with his development and would be perfect while we give our own juniors a chance to develop in lower grades.  This fits with Ryles youth first policy giving our younger players another year or so to develop before needing to make a decision on them.

    • Agree, Ilias does not improve our squad.

    • It's all on the table but sounds like ryles has multiple options in place. If Issac Moses did ask for more money but the club stayed firm on its offer I'm guessing he's got a hit list of players

      • Exactly, I think it is a positive sign we missed Galvin.  You can guarantee a few years ago, we would have just caved to demands and increased our offer and payed overs to get the deal done.  We probably would have even gone close to the tigers offer
