Blythy has released his top 50 predictions for the upcoming season. Interestingly Parramatta feature very prominently in the top 10:
Moses to win Dally M
Brad Arthur coacho of the year
Eels to win the GF (but not be minor premiers). See below.
9. Dally M Coach of the Year – Brad Arthur probably should have won the award in 2019, but will finally get his hands on the award after turning the 2018 wooden spooners into the 2020 premiers.
8. Dally M Rookie of the Year – Phoenix Crossland will shine partnering Mitchell Pearce in the halves for Newcastle, enough so that the sandy haired Kiwi will take out the award, narrowly beating out team mate Bradman Best and a surprise packet in Cronulla’s Toby Rudolf.
7. Dally M Medalist – Mitchell Moses will back up his stellar 2019, improving his game further under the tutelage of Andrew Johns and win his first Dally M medal, leading Parramatta to their first Grand Final in over a decade.
6. NRLW Premiers – You’ve got to lose one to win one, and that’ll be the case this year as Dragons’ captain Kezzie Apps holds the trophy aloft on Grand Final day, beating out the Broncos’ who’ll play in their third consecutive decider.
5. Wooden Spoon – The Bulldogs have made no sizeable recruits and with Kieran Foran out for the season, Canterbury will be beaten in strength and class by every other team in 2020.
4. Minor Premiership – South Sydney will sit in first place for the first time since 1989, on the back of some handy pre-season recruits and the resurgence of Adam Reynolds.
3. Clive Churchill – Reed Mahoney will star as he outguns Damien Cook and proves he’s ready to grab a Maroon jersey, putting in a stellar performance on rugby league’s greatest stage.
2. Runners up – Wayne Bennett will go close, but not close enough as the likes of Adam Reynolds, Damien Cook and Cameron Murray guide South Sydney to their second Grand Final appearance in seven years.
1. Premiers – The Parramatta Eels will break a 35-year-old drought and claim the title on the back of their star signings and the young spine. The 2010s were ruled by Melbourne and the Roosters, the 2020s will be Parramatta’s decade of dominance.

Nice to see some confidence around about the team. Bookies seem to have us at 5th currently.

These are all the predictions involving the Eels. I'm pretty sure these predictions are fact. It's the off season so I'm looking for anything Eels to get me through this time of the year.
40. Top try scorer – The usual suspects will be up there in the likes of Josh Addo-Carr, Daniel Tupou, Campbell Graham and Corey Oates, but it’ll be Maika Sivo who takes the top honour in consecutive years. The man is a weapon with quads the size of small children.
32. International Debutants –Australia will see a trickle of debutants in their squad for the Four Nations, including players from the Nines World Cup in Jai Arrow and Nathan Brown, while the Kiwis will see Dylan Brown and Bailey Simmonson don the black jersey for the first time.
18. Dally M Second-Rower of the Year – He’ll be getting booed by every Tiger fan in the building when Wests play Parramatta, but Ryan Matterson will shine on the right edge for Parramatta, lining up between the NRL’s leading try-assist machine in Mitch Moses and the ever enigmatic Waqa Blake.
15. Dally M Halfback of the Year – Mitchell Moses’ attacking game has been superb of late, especially at Bankwest, but it’ll be a reduction in his missed tackles that sees him clench the gong.
12. Dally M Winger of the Year – The fact he wasn’t even nominated last year was absurd, but Maika Sivo will shrug off his controversial off-season to be crowned the season’s best flank man.
9. Dally M Coach of the Year – Brad Arthur probably should have won the award in 2019, but will finally get his hands on the award after turning the 2018 wooden spooners into the 2020 premiers.

I want to be the club that deserves absolute favouritism and embraces it. That's the one thing the great teams in the 80's had.
Now we are stuffed for sure
A decade of dominance, I like the sound of that.
Be great . I will take one year though ( 2020). Lol .
Also as Eels fans we have had more than our fair share of bad news articles so it is good to see something positive written about the team. Who know's what will happen in 2020 but I take the good when it it there just to make the off season feel a bit brighter.
How should Brad Arthur won the Coach Award last season?
It's not like it was his first year in the job when he took the side from spooners to finalists, it was the side he assembled that won the spoon.
It was self inflicted !
I mean, we've got the most completed roster in the competition. Our entire side is hitting their prime af once. I'm dreaming, but it would be a highlight of my life to see Eels win the comp this year.. I'm quietly confident whilst all my friends tell me how Parra are going to win.
Saw video and Raiders player Whitehead asked how he saw 2020. Said "we'll play the Eels in the Grand Final".
I will make a bold prediction and say Raiders will not be as successful this year, they will hit a slump and Stuart will lose his shit and move players around and it will fuck them up.
